Sometimes authors need a timeout

It's become quite apparent to me over the last few weeks as I've battled pain (TMJ pain), fatigue (been unable to eat for 3 weeks due to the aforementioned TMJ), and some other factors that I MAY need a wee little break.

You know when you call into work sick when you're really not sick so you secretly call it a mental health day. That's where this is leading. I need some time to reset. I've been so laser focused on the release and marketing for Psychic in Suburbia that it feels like my brain is glitching. I've neglected my other writing projects. I've neglected my house (it's a disaster!). And I've neglected my own health.

So this week, I'm officially OUT OF THE OFFICE.

And we'll see about next week.

In the meantime, this does not mean I won't be writing because while on my morning walk two current projects meshed in my brain into one story so I'm starting from scratch. I can't see myself not at least jotting down a semblance of an outline to formulate this new (better) story. Lots more on this new project in the foreseeable future so stayed tuned. Mainly, I plan to get out in nature; cuddle with my fur baby, Harley; clean the house; read some books; and step back from social media.

What does this all mean? It means my frequency of emails may lessen for awhile, especially this week since I posted the big OUT OF OFFICE sign and all. I'll still pop in for monthly reading recommendations. Currently, reading The Change by Kirsten Miller and I am already obsessed with this book.

So, this is not "goodbye." It's just "be back in bit."

While I'm away, if you need something new to read (assuming you've already read Psychic in Suburbia), please check out this fun promo!
