Ghost Hunter Mystery Book Series Review

BOOK(S) REVIEW for Victoria Laurie's "A Ghost Hunter Mystery" series
It took a few weeks but I finally completed the entire 10 book series (about 2 books per week). I didn't want to review until I was done with the series. Also, I didn't want to stop reading to write individual reviews. A ghoul... I mean girl... needs to manage her time. No worries, I did leave individual ratings when I finished each book and will go back on Amazon and whatever platform the author wishes to add reviews for each book.
FIVE STARS all around! I would give TEN STARS if that was a thing! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
The stories are fun, harrowing, quippy, goosebump raising, comedic, and dramatic! Seriously, I would laugh myself silly and then ten pages more pull the covers up to my chin because I didn't want the Grim Widow or any other of the vivid monsters to get me!
And have I neglected to mention the hottie romantic interests for our heroine, MJ? Ok, so I wasn't really "into" the doctor (actually he annoyed me but he was HOT) but the fellow psychic dude, Heath, WOWSA! Chemistry off the charts! And the lovey scenes - OMG! Someone que the cold shower for me!
The mysteries were twisty, turvy just like I like them. The true baddies weren't always the spectral variety either.
But the true HEART of this series is its characters and their development and growth throughout. How they interact and how they bond and grow together as an ad hoc family of sorts. It was authentic to see how MJ, Gilley, and everyone else matured (or in Gilley's case maybe mature isn't the right term but he's adorable, obnoxious, a genius, a diva, and a laugh riot!)
I do have one question for the author: We read about MJ's pet bird throughout, but what ever happened to the puppy? Did I miss that info somehow?
With the author acknowledging that she is a psychic, I wonder just how much of the stories and characters were 100% fiction. The stories are written so well, I could well envision the author on these same spooky adventures.
If you enjoy spooky shenanigans, hot guys, quirky sidekicks, and a kick@$$ heroine, check out Victoria Laurie's "A Ghost Hunter Mystery" series.
