Hi

This email actually isn't for you!

We know how much runners' families & friends are a huge part of the event experience. Whether they are out on course as support crew, waiting patiently at the finish line, or following (& cheering) you on via a phone!

So this email is for them 😊 Please forward it far and wide to your family, friends, work colleagues...whoever you please!

So, hello Support Crew, Family member & friend of !

The very best place to get the info you need (whatever your role is) is our Festival Booklet 👇

How to track your runner

You'll be able to follow your runner (approximately) on the map.

Please note it is an approximation, based on when they pass the timing points on course.

image

You can also follow when your runner passes each timing point, and see the finish results in real time.

We'll also be sharing updates & stories on our socials across the weekend, so make sure you give us a follow! Hit the icons below 👇

Cheer them on course, chill at the runHub & Finish line

Feel free to head out for a hike yourself and cheer your runner on course, or at the aid stations (please just check the parking access in the Festival Booklet).

There's a Spectator hang-out zone and dining area right next to the finish chute and the finish line, so you can relax, soak up the atmosphere, have some food and drinks while you wait for your runner and then give them a big sweaty hug!

FYI the Festival Booklet includes our estimated arrival times of first, and last, runners for each event.

Things to do at the kMR runHub

We have LOTS of awesome activities for family & friends at the runHub across the weekend (for free)!

The best place to find all the info is our Festival Booklet👇

But we wanted to point out one of the extra special activities because we couldn't be more excited about these Walks with the Mountain!

Why not book yourself in for your own time on Kunanyi?

image

Choose from a guided tour with experienced (and extremely informative & entertaining) Tas Langford, on Saturday, or Sunday, at 10am.

These tours are not commercially available: this is a #kMR2025 exclusive offering and will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

kMR, and the Walks With the Mountain, received a lovely write-up in the Hobart News recently. You can read it via the button below, and hear what Hobart local Helen Allsopp, thought of her Walk with the Mountain.

"Tasman, a Yorta Yorta man and an exceptional storyteller, led us through the mountain’s trails, sharing his knowledge of bush tucker and medicine, and the deep cultural significance of Kunanyi for the Palawa people. His knowledge, spanning many generations, brought the landscape to life and offered an insight daily life for the Tasmanian Aboriginal people.

"Hearing how the Palawa people lived and thrived here, I gained a richer appreciation for the stories embedded in the mountain’s rocks, waterways, and forests. These stories, once shared, transform the way we experience place — not just as a landscape but as a living, breathing entity with history, spirit, and meaning."

It's also not too late for you to run or walk with kunanyi either, just saying! 👇👇

If you'll be there with your runner, we hope to see you, creating your own stories (whatever your role is)!

We acknowledge the palawa people of lutruwita as the traditional owners of the land on which we live, work and run. We respect their culture and ongoing custodianship of the land. We pay our respect to all Tasmanian Aboriginal people, and Elders past, present, and emerging.
