What's next after KMR?🏃♀️🏃

Hi !
Now that KMR is over for another year, you might be wondering, what's next? (There are only 309 days until KMR 2026, in case you're wondering!)
If you don't want to wait that long for time on the trails at an awesome event, we've selected a few of our favourites.
The Coastal Ascent: 8 June
A truly iconic Australian coastal trail running course covering sand, coastal forests, single track, fire trails and plenty of hills to challenge all runners. There are 50km, 25km and 11km events, plus a kids run. The 25km is leg 3 of the Golden Trail National Series.
Brisbane Trail Ultra: 28 June
There are 200km+ of trails at Brisbane’s doorstep and an abundance of wildlife and this year, BTU has 10km and 20km options. The BTU20 is the final of the Golden Trail National Series and we're excited to keep an eye on who will take it out this year!
Untamed Border Run: 21 June
Also in QLD, the Untamed Border Run has 50km, 21km and 10km options. This is an authentic grassroot event, that's run by a small group of people who have a love and respect for the outdoors, and a desire to give back to the community.
And a shout-out to two of the Untamed Team, Gav and Susan, who each volunteered for 8 (very solid) days at KMR this year 🙏 They definitely know how to deliver epic events!
Transcend Trails: 16 August
Want to head over to the west? Explore the gorgeous Avon Valley with Transcend Trails, with 6km, 28km, 40km, 65km options to run or hike, and there's a relay option too!
Tolosa Half (Kunanyi Trail Series):
3 August
Back here in Hobart, this is an event that has something for everyone! A "pram-able" 5km, 10km and 21km, this is the most popular event of our Kunanyi Trail Series.
Runners leave from the edge of suburbia, and into the open woodland that gradually morphs into a denser and greener mixed forest. You navigate some technical rocky terrain, but overall, these are courses that flow very well!
We hope that's helped inspire you until we open registrations for KMR 2026 later this year!
Lincoln and the kMR team
We acknowledge the Palawa people of Lutruwita as the traditional owners of the land on which we live, work and run. We respect their culture and ongoing custodianship of the land. We pay our respect to all Tasmanian Aboriginal people, and Elders past, present, and emerging.
