Half of the battle is getting our students to create a cogent line of reasoning.
When we sit down to grade a stack of essays, invariably we'll scratch our heads and be so utterly confused - where and the heck is this kid going?
Here's my firm belief: all students can grow and mature as writers.
All we need to do for them is give them a scaffold or template that enables them to think on paper.
And this is what we are going to do Tuesday night - explore how my templates can help students sustain a bulletproof logical progression in their arguments.
We'll look at how my templates work across the expository modes, so they'll be plenty of content for the Language and Literature teachers and all that fall in between.
Tuesday night, we will meet in Zoom at 8 EST.

Hope to see you there!
