At the end of every academic year, I give the students the opportunity to evaluate the course and me as a teacher.

In today's writing workshop video, I spotlight this groundbreaking template all while piecing together a synthesis essay centering upon the role of AI in education.
From parceling out the gems from the source packet, to cobbling together each component that is vital to synthesis, my students and I demonstrate for you how to construct the entire essay from start to finish.
As the essay gets constructed, so does the LEGO Man.
For example, once the thesis is articulated, either within the declarative or inverted template, the LEGO Man's head is awarded. Once the quotes are embedded, the arms are given, etc.
Not only is this a super cool way to demystify the writing process, but it also lends itself to an ingenious alternative grading method/peer edit workshop.
