Alright my teacher friends, as promised ... I recorded a few writing workshop videos this week that showcase my thesis template for the sole purpose of performing literary analysis.
Last week, if you recall, I shared how the exact same template can be manipulated for rhetorical analysis.
The big difference: I simply use Oscar Nominated Short-Films to hammer home the concept instead of classic commercials.
In my first video, we dissect Disney's classic "Paperman" film.
As you'll see, my students nicely pull the strings of my inverted thesis template every time they approach an introductory paragraph when they write literary analysis papers ...
And the results are pretty sweet!
To really shore up how the template works, check out the second short-film we dissected: "There's a Tune In My Soup"
Between my template for both the declarative and inverted thesis model, you and your students should be all set to systematically crush a thesis every single time without fail.
Happy teaching and happy writing!
