Teachers are burnt to a crisp in the new “normal” of pandemic teaching; and sadly – the end doesn’t seem to be in sight.
But what if I told you the following …
1. You can leave work at work and reclaim your evenings and weekends
2. There are proven ways to put an end to student apathy and disengagement
3. Getting your students to grow and mature as writers and readers is 100% achievable
When ELA teachers embrace a good set of writing templates and ditch traditional grading methods – the work/life balance quickly gets restored.
And when the manner in which curriculum historically gets designed is “re-thunked,” we tend to meet students where they are at and really hook them as learners.
Spring is upon us, and we must honestly ask ourselves – how much learning has actually occurred in my classroom this academic year?
This is exactly why I have created the Teach It “Write” 5-Week Mastermind.
ELA instruction is forever evolving, and sometimes it’s tough to keep up with the trends, but there are a handful of unshakeable truths:
1. Students flourish as writers when we equip them with a set of workable and accessible templates
2. Traditional grading methods DO NOT work in terms of getting students to improve as writers
3. Classrooms built upon the pillars of collaboration and competition help students thrive
Beginning this Sunday, March 13th, at 7 pm EST – a handful of us will meet over the course of the next five weeks in Zoom to take a good close look at how we instruct composition, structure classroom discussion, and incorporate alternative grading methods.
During our weekly hour together, teachers will be equipped with all the strategies they will need to revamp and retool their approaches to the teaching of writing so that their students can thrive.
Building writers from the ground-up, we will explore how to teach foundational literacies so that students crush every compositional task they ever face.
