Hi !
Happy August! It's a busy August for me because I have 3 projects that either came out or coming out. I'm not sure why I did this to myself... (Because I can't stop writing, that's why. ;) )
In this email, you'll find info about 2 of those projects (the ones already out), a note on the StL GeekCraftExpo, a fun contest, and then my still-new section on book fairs/libraries.
TEARS IN SPACE #!
I wrote a comic! Illustrated by the incredible, Sam Washburn (who did my illustrated covers), this is the first issue in a new series about bounty hunters, Cleo and Eileen. And it's on kickstarter, where you can pledge for the comic and more: CLICK HERE!
After their last catastrophic job, bounty hunter Cleo finally lands a new gig: tracking down a bail skipper inside a high-security biodome. The catch? The biodome requires a substantial amount of biological material to enter, and Cleo is all bones! Enter Eileen, a being composed almost entirely of biomaterial…who was also just formed a few weeks ago. With fragmented memories of their pasts, the two team up to navigate a world full of unknowns. What could possibly go wrong?
Issue #1 of Tears in Space is a retro-inspired 22 page comic book fully illustrated in color. Inspired by Bronze-Age comics and fueled by a joy for experimentation in narrative imagery, each panel is a work of art!
FANGS AND FELONIES OUT NOW
On Kindle, KU, and in print
It's Stephanie Plum meets early Anita Blake with a splash of To Kill A Mockingbird.
Emily Lane, an ambitious attorney with an interest in vampire bites, must prove the innocence of vamp coven leader Lucian in a high stakes murder case. As she dives into the investigation, she uncovers a world where trust is as rare as a werewolf at a flea market.
Can she clear Lucian's name without destroying her own?
ST. LOUIS GEEK CRAFT EXPO
If you're a new subscriber, I went to my first art market the last weekend in July and brought my books along. I had a blast talking books and reading with people who came by our booth. For those that took home a new paperback, I hope you love them!
