Happy Wednesday !

Is it strange writing 2023 for you? I'm having to rewire my brain to put a 3 instead of a 2...lol! Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful holiday and new year. I was able to get a much-needed break from my day job and revive my writing brain. I even started a new book! Christmas is still on my mind and I've been planning a Christmas book in my new series, so I finally found the motivation to start it.

Year after year, I’ve watched couples fall in love at the town gazebo. After all, it’s smack dab in the middle of town and in direct sight of my family’s Christmas tree stand. I’ve seen my fair share of kisses under the mistletoe, but I’ve never been on the receiving end of one.

When a series of unfortunate events prevent my dad from running the tree farm this season, he hires Rett Edwards to step in. Rett needs a job, and my dad needs help.

For someone who grew up in this town the same as me, you’d think he would appreciate the tourist attraction and smile once in a while. But he’s cold as ice, and I’m making it my mission to melt away his grumpiness.

I can't wait to watch this story unfold. I'll eventually finish the first book I started working on, but this grumpy/sunshine story has my attention right now.

My plans for 2023 include releasing this entire three-book series:

  • The Thing About Falling in Love
  • The Thing about Blind Dates
  • The Thing About Mistletoe Kisses

(and not necessarily in this order)

I would appreciate any prayers you can send my way so I can focus on getting each of these books completed with my busy schedule this year!

Until next time, I hope you have a wonderful week!

Regina Walker was born in the beautiful state of Colorado. She moved to Oklahoma in her late teen years, where she has resided ever since. She likes to curl up on the couch and binge-watch crime shows with her hard-working husband. When she's not wrestling with a writing project, she can be found wrangling their children, riding their horses, or tending the garden. Along with finding horses on their small farm, chickens, dogs, and cats can be found at nearly every turn.

Regina crafts compelling characters facing some of life's hardest challenges. Her heart's desire is to always point toward Jesus through the way her characters face challenges, relationships, and adversity.
