Happy Wednesday !

Today is National Author's Day, and it came with perfect timing because I have some exciting things to share with you about my next book. I finally finished my first draft last night! This has been a labor of love (or not..lol) and there have been times that I didn't think I'd ever finish this book. But since I wanted to release it before Christmas this year, I knew I needed to devote some time to working and wrapping up all the things. My timeline kept getting shifted because life was busy. But this past weekend, I told my husband and kids I planned to lock myself in my room and hunker down. Thankfully, it worked!

I've also been struggling with the cover for months. I had an original design last year for the entire series, but something about the cover I created for this particular book never settled well with me. I could never find just the right picture to use, and as a graphic designer, sometimes we can have a love/hate relationship with stock photo sites. I'm a big fan of the cover art matching the characters inside.

So now I'm *finally* happy to present to you the cover for The Thing About Mistletoe Kisses!

Here's the book blurb if you haven't read it yet.

Year after year, I’ve watched couples fall in love at the town gazebo. After all, it’s smack dab in the middle of town and in direct sight of my family’s Christmas tree stand. I’ve seen my fair share of kisses under the mistletoe, but I’ve never been on the receiving end of one.

When a series of unfortunate events prevent my dad from running the tree farm this season, he hires Rett Edwards to step in. Rett needs a job, and my dad needs help.

For someone who grew up in this town the same as me, you’d think he would appreciate the tourist attraction and smile once in a while. But he’s cold as ice, and I’m making it my mission to melt away his grumpiness.

I'm so happy with how the cover turned out, and when you read the book, you'll understand why it's perfect. I don't have a release date nailed down, but mid-December is what I'm planning, and If I can get it out earlier, even better! I'll keep you posted in the newsletter, and you can always follow me on Instagram and Facebook for updates and teasers as well.

Make sure to check out the books in the newsletter this week. The first book is from a new author friend I met a few months ago when she reached out to me to create the cover artwork for her book. I have been eagerly anticipating this winter rom-com since she told me about the story. The second book is also a new release from a long-time author friend, and this is the third in her series. I had the privilege to read this one early, and I think you'll enjoy this

Have a wonderful week!

Southern Snow

by B.R. Goodwin

*Kindle Unlimited*

New Release

For the last three years, Georgia has called the quirky southern town of Sugartree home, dutifully moving back to manage her parent’s coffee shop after her father suffered a heart attack and finding contentment in her busy schedule and the occasional shenanigans of her three younger siblings.

When Lakeland Lovett, troubled son of the local pastor, wafts through the door of Good Start Coffee like a tantalizing cup of hot chocolate, Georgia promises herself she won’t fall prey to his charms and annoyingly perfect face again. She’s not the girl she was in high school who foolishly put her trust and heart in his careless hands. She knows better now, and more importantly, she knows Lake… at least she thinks she does.

But with Lake strutting around Sugartree, driving Georgia crazy all over again with his pesky nicknames, dumb dimples, and swoon-worthy attention laser focused on her, she starts to find any promises to maintain her distance from Lakeland Lovett harder to preserve, and Georgia begins to see him, and her life in Sugartree, in a whole new way.
