Hi ,
April 22 is release day for One She Never Expected. Pre-order your copy now!
For now, enjoy this fun teaser.
Me: Do you have Nolan’s parents’ number?
Elle: No, why?
Me: I feel like I should probably let his parents know.
Elle: Yeah, you totally should.
Me: I don’t see his phone on him.
Elle: Did you check his pockets?
Me: I’ve checked his front side and there’s no appearance of a rectangular object that might be a phone.
Elle: Did you check his back pockets?
Me: He’s laying on his back.
Elle: Oh.
Me: Yeah.
Elle: He’s sleeping. Just run your hand underneath him and check.
Me: ELLE!
Elle: What?
Me: I’m not touching his butt.
Elle: You’re not touching anything. You’re feeling for a phone.
Me: No. I’m not doing that.
Elle: He’s asleep. He won’t know.
Me: What if I wake him up?
Elle: He’s on drugs. He won’t know.
Me: Ugh.
Elle: Just swoop real fast. He may not even have it on him.
Me: I really don’t want to.
Elle: If you were laying on a hospital bed and almost died of anyfalagtig (sp?) shock, don’t you think your parents would want to know?????
I have to stop and giggle at Elle’s spelling of anaphylactic. She wasn’t even close enough to the correct spelling for autocorrect to get it right.
Me: Yes. You’re right. But if he has his phone, how am I going to get into it?
Elle: That emergency contact thing if you press the power and volume button.
Me: Oh yeah! Ugh. Okay… I’m going in.
Me: Wish me luck.
Elle: Good luck feeling his butt.
Me: Stop it!
Elle: 🤣 🤣 🤣

by Rachel John
She’s everything he never knew he wanted.
Elinor Dashwood has found the perfect job. There’s only one little catch... her boss.
Edward’s gorgeous, kind, and taken. Well, maybe. There’s something odd about his engagement to the town’s sweetheart, and it seems like he wants Elinor to figure it out.
Nope. Detective Elinor is not on the case. She’ll just admire him from afar like every other sensible person with an unrequited crush.
Edward Ferrars was just fine pretending to be engaged until Elinor moved to town, started working for him, and decided to invade his thoughts. Now his fake fiancée has set her sights on Elinor as enemy number one, and Elinor is the last person who deserves to be called a homewrecker.
He’s ready to call off this out-of-control favor, but if he unleashes the wrath of his fake fiancée, will Elinor be along for the ride?
Hope At Last
by Elizabeth Maddrey
A widow, a widower, and some matchmaking daughters.
Elise Hewitt came to Hope Ranch because there was nowhere left to go. She’s making a place for herself by helping with her daughter Indigo’s yarn business and watching her grandchildren, but neither of those things ignites any passion in her heart. Maybe she’s just too old for that.
Dave Fitzgerald’s call to the mission field is all he’s ever known. Now that he’s a widower, he’s more involved than ever before. Running a camp for young adults considering full-time missions is a break from the trouble-shooting assignments he usually seeks out, but a summer in the mountains of New Mexico isn’t any kind of hardship.
When Elise’s daughters get a look at the handsome older man, they begin to conspire to throw the two of them together. Everyone else in the family has found love at Hope Ranch, why shouldn’t their mom have a chance at love a second time around?
