There's this thing about your childhood upbringing that's holding you back from doing the very thing that's required to succeed in your business.

This kind of upbringing has been etched deep into your subconscious mind and your actions and mindset are based off of it both consciously and unconsciously.

And the worst part is that you don't even realize it.

And believe it or not, up till now, and even till tomorrow, this upbringing is still affecting you and will continue to keep affecting you if you don't work on your mindset.

MAKING SALES.

This is by far the most important measure of success in any business.

Sales is the lifeblood of any business.

Without sales, nobody would be in business.

Matter of fact, the whole essence of going through all the rigorous stress of:

• Generating leads,
• Creating sales funnels,
• Creating content,
• Crafting offers,
• Writing copy,
• Marketing and
• Advertising...

Is to make MORE and MORE sales.

Because, just like in the words of scripture (my version of the "SALES" bible),

"...'SALES' is the principal thing. In all your gettings, get (make) sales."

And when:

• You are afraid to do things that will help you achieve this (make more sales),
• Or when you are reluctant to sell to people,
• Or even worse, when you are unwilling to sell to people,

It definitely stems from one particular upbringing which you as a Nigerian (or African generally) was given right from your childhood by your parents.

Which is...

Don't collect anything from strangers.

It seems pretty simple, but this upbringing has had a great impact in your life while growing up and even up till now...

Trust me, I know... Because I had the same upbringing.

And while this upbringing is not bad in itself because it taught you contentment, self sufficiency and self dependence,

It also made you find it difficult to collect money from strangers...

Which you absolutely have no choice than to do if you want to succeed in business.

Because who do you expect to buy your products if not TOTAL strangers?

Your family and friends will NOT buy your products.

If anything, some may buy just to encourage you...

Because most times, they genuinely do not need your product or service.

And that is totally fine.

They're not wrong to not buy from you if they don't need your service.

Not to mention the fact that sometimes, even when they do need your product or service, they will be expecting you to give it to them for free.

And I don't blame them really.

So if:

• You are afraid, reluctant or unwilling to sell to TOTAL strangers,
• If you're afraid, reluctant or unwilling to take money from TOTAL strangers,
• If you're afraid, reluctant or unwilling to do business with TOTAL strangers,

Then you will remain poor .

There's no two ways about it.
