,

Normally, I would begin this mail with a story of something that happened while I was making my sales rounds,

And then I would relate it to marketing,

And of course I would then tell you how you can apply it in your own business or brand.

But as it turns out, when I went out yesterday,

I made zero sales.

And the day before yesterday?

I made just one sale.

And that sale brought me a profit of N200.

"Huge" right?

Yeah, I know.

And if I'm being honest, I haven't been in the best of teaching moods,

Because not making sales (or at least not making notable sales) normally has an effect on entrepreneurs' mental health.

I'm not kidding.

But nevertheless, I want you to draw out a lesson from this.

And the lesson is that...

In business (just like in every other endeavor in the world), there are ups and downs.

There are going to be times that you will make so much sales (and money inherently) that you will feel like a KING, and like nothing can touch you.

And other times, the river of sales just "dries up".

Sometimes temporarily, other times permanently for one reason or the other.

  • It may be that you need to change your strategy and approach,
  • Or that you need to fix something in your funnel,
  • Or that you just need to go back to the basics.

And sometimes, you even may not necessarily have anything to do with the fluctuation of the sales.

I guess sometimes you know, life just happens.

So whenever you are going through tough times in your business, always remember that...

It happens to the best of us .

Even Aliko Dangote has times when things are tough for him (of course his definition of tough times is different from yours or mine, but I'm sure you get the gist),

But that didn't stop him from keeping on.

So regardless of what you're going through in your business, keep pushing and keep keeping on.

May God help us all.

I wish you a lovely day ahead.

To your digital success,

King Danisan™.

P.S: This mail should have come in a lot earlier, but a lot of things got in the way.

Have a great Sunday service this morning.

Shalom!
