Don't go in blind.

,

It's Christmas Eve.

And if you're like most people, you have probably made plans to do some "oblee" this season.

I'm not here to tell you what to do with your money, or how to spend your holidays.

I'm just here to remind you that it's just 7 days left in the year 2024.

That's right.

Just 7 out of 365 days left.

7 days before 2025 gets here.

7 days in which a lot can still happen before the new year.

7 days that you can still use to plan ahead for the new year.

7 days that can be used to get a head start ahead of 2025.

Again, I'm not here to tell you not to "detty" your December.

But in the midst of all the rogbodiyan of the festivities,

Some smart people are taking time out to redefine the things really important to them and set their goals for the new year.

And if you're smart, you'll do the same.

Don't go into 2025 blind.

Don't go into 2025 without a defined direction.

Don't go into 2025 with the intention to just "freestyle" your way through the year.

Don't let 2025 fizzle away the same way 2024 did without you having any concrete achievements.

There's still time to make sure that doesn't happen.

Take some time out.

It could be one, two, or even three days.

Reflect on your journey so far this year.

Document your wins and losses.

Critique yourself.

Identify the areas you need to work on in the new year.

Outline your goals for the new year.

Business goals, Skill goals, Relationship goals, Financial goals, Personal goals, Family goals, Spiritual goals, et cetera.

Write out the steps needed to achieve those goals.

Write a letter to yourself.

Imagine yourself 5 years from now.

What would future you tell this version of you today?

Write it in that letter to yourself.

Pray ahead of the new year.

Fast even.

Just make sure you're not leaving the new year to chance.

These things may seem mundane or cheesy.

But you'd be surprised at how much clarity you would come out with at the end of these processes.

I did it last year, and I can tell you for free that this year was so much better than my previous years.

I'm doing it again soon, within the next couple of days.

So I'm not telling you what I don't do.

Enjoy the festive season.

But don't let that stop you from starting the year on the right note.

Do the needful.

Yours "gaining clarity ahead of the new year",

— KD™
