Principles Of Marketing From The Bible.

,

When it comes to marketing, no one is exempted. Everyone is involved whether we like it or not.

Now you may be thinking,

"But I don't sell anything!"

You're absolutely right about that,

Except we aren't only talking about physical things here.

There are other abstract things you market too knowingly or unknowingly, intended or not.

For example,

  • When you walk up to someone you're meeting for the first time and try to become friends with them,

  • Or when you try to ask that lady out,

  • Or when you make that business proposal to someone to get a contract,

  • Or when you apply to get that job or go to the interview,

And so on.

You can see that it's not only goods and products that you can market.

You can also market:

  • Your skill,
  • Your intellect,
  • Your knowledge,
  • Your service,
  • Your guidance and counseling,
  • Your consultations,

Et cetera.

Believe it or not, God Himself is also in the business of marketing.

He markets Himself to us using different channels like his word and other humans like us to spread the word about him,

And ultimately he marketed Himself to us by sending his son Jesus to die for our sins.

That's said (since I didn't come here to preach today),

There are some Biblical Principles of marketing you should know.

And if you apply them, you will be so much better off as a business person.

And here they are.

Biblical Principles Of Marketing.

1. You cannot offer what you don't have.

Before you can sell a solution, you must actually have that solution.

Focus on finding the solution to your audience's problems first, before thinking of how best to market it to them.

2. The relevance of your product determines how marketable it is.

If your product is relevant to or only caters to a small group of people, you can only sell a small amount of it.

My advice, pick a product that caters to a very large audience. The larger the audience, the more money you can make.

3. Your patronage is often influenced by your location.

If you are marketing in the wrong location, you will fail woefully.

Your audience have places where they congregate.

Find those places and take your business to meet your audience, and market your product to them there.

4. Advertisement is the mother of profit.

You should only rely on organic leads generation as a beginner.

If you want to scale fast, you have to run Ads.

Advertising costs should never be considered an expense. It's an investment.

5. The quality of your supply determines your demand.

You will always be in demand if you always deliver quality products and services.

So make sure your products and services are always top notch.

6. Activity is not the same thing as productivity.

You can be busy doing NOTHING.

Avoid activities that just take up your time without really adding any value to your business or bringing in any results.

Make sure you're not just being active, but being productive.

7. Laziness is a terrible disaster.

"He that is slothful in his work is a brother to him that is a great waster."

- Proverbs 18:9

If you are:

  • Poor,
  • Lacking knowledge,
  • Lacking skill,
  • Lacking motivation, etc,...

You can be helped out.

But if you're lazy, no one can help you.

Not even God will help you.

Cultivate the habit of working hard.

There you have it. I hope you enjoyed these Biblical Principles of Marketing,

Because that's all I've got for you today.

P.S: I was so busy today that I didn't even have the time to think of what to write to you today.

But as I went to church this evening, it was as if the preacher was telling me what I should write to you about today.

So I just decided to reprint some of the things he said right here and how you can apply them to your business.

You're welcome.😉

Peace.
