It Happens To Me Too {{contact.first_name}}.

,

When I talk about negative and self defeating mindsets here,

You may think I am only talking about you and other people excluding myself.

But the truth is that 99.99.99% of the time, I am also referring to myself.

In fact, I like to use myself as an example.

And one MAJOR negative mindset I have struggled with is what is known as...

IMPOSTOR SYNDROME.

And in case you don't know what impostor syndrome is,

Impostor syndrome is,... well...

Wo, go and check Google for the definition.

But in layman terms, it simply means doubting yourself, your abilities and your self worth.

It also involves feeling you don't deserve the good things that happen to you.

For a practical example,

It's when you come across something that you definitely know and have the ability to do,

But for some reason;

  • You just don't think you can do it,
  • Or you are afraid you won't get it right,
  • Or you are afraid you will break something,
  • Or you are afraid it won't work,
  • Or you are afraid you will embarrass yourself,
  • Or anything in between.

And this can happen to anyone at all, myself inclusive.

Matter of fact, I battle with it every time, especially in my line of work (offline).

Many times I would be given a phone to repair (mostly when it's a screen issue),

And I would prefer to just pay someone to fix it for me while I keep the customer and manage whatever profit is left.

And I usually tend to do this especially when the price of the screen is expensive.

Not to make any excuses for myself, but the underlying reason why I resort to doing that is because...

Several times in the past especially when I just started out with smartphone repairs,

I have mistakenly damaged customers' screens and gotten into huge debt and almost into serious trouble because of it.

And those things ended up affecting my self esteem and self confidence.

And even today, when I was fixing a phone whose screen costs N24k,

In my mind I was terribly afraid that I would make a mistake and it wouldn't work.

But I shrugged it off and concentrated on getting the job done.

And to the glory of God, I fixed it with no complications.

And again just like in an example I gave in one of my previous mails, I have discovered that...

Your mind will play tricks on you and make you feel less of yourself especially if you have made mistakes in the past.

But that's only if you let it.

I could have easily paid someone to fix the screen for me as usual.

But I knew I could do it and I was determined to prove myself and my mind wrong.

And the rest is history.

The same way, your mind may be playing tricks on you and telling you that doing business online is a scam.

You may have already cooked up several excuses and reasons why you won't succeed with e-commerce or any other online business.

But you can either let your mind keep playing tricks on you,

Or you can decide to be determined to prove your mind wrong...

By setting up your e-commerce business here in Nigeria and succeeding (making crazy money) in it.

And you can start your journey here >> https://tinyurl.com/4vphpcxm

Again, you choose.

I'm rooting for your success,
