You Were Lied To.

Subject line: You Have Been Lied To.

Good morning ,

If you're on my contact list on WhatsApp, or my email list, then you have probably heard me talk about Copywriting.

I don't know what you have heard about Copywriting else where,

I don't what you have been told about Copywriting,

Heck, I don't know what your preconceived thoughts and notions about Copywriting are,

But I know one thing.

You Have Been Lied To About Copywriting!

And that is probably the reason why you have the wrong notions and ideas about Copywriting which make you think you shouldn't have anything to do with Copywriting,

Which is why in a few moments, I will debunk all of those misconceptions.

But before that, I need to let you know that I was once like you .

  • I once thought that Copywriting was just something that online marketers raved about.

  • I thought I didn't need Copywriting.

  • I thought only people who wanted to write for clients needed to learn copywriting,

  • Heck, I even thought there is little or no money to be made from copywriting.

It wasn't until I became more exposed to the world of copywriting that I began to realize that I had believed in lies for too long.

The objections and questions I had were quashed and debunked one after the other,

And that's why I want to do the exact same thing for you right now.

So saddle up as we go on this mindset recalibration adventure..

It'll be fun! Come on, let's go!

Here's the truth about Copywriting!

1. You don't need years of training or experience to learn copywriting.

My mentor Dolapo Hamzat has not spent up to 2 years in this Copywriting game and has generated over N50 million for himself and his clients.

Esther Odemwingie, another of my mentors started learning Copywriting in 2019 and now, she has made some crazy money from using copywriting between 2019 and now.

Myself, I started learning Copywriting in September last year and wasn't serious about it for a long time, but since I started this year, I have started getting little results here and there.

2. You don't need a college degree in business or marketing to learn copywriting.

None of those people I mentioned above have degrees in business or marketing.

They are both science inclined, and same with me.

So you see that you don't really need to have any prior knowledge of business or marketing to learn copywriting.

3. You don't need to be the best in English.

Most people think you have to be an English Scholar before you become a copywriter.

That's not true at all.

My mentor's that I mentioned above are not the best in English.

Showing you that all you need is a basic knowledge of how to read, write, understand English and construct good sentences well along with some creativity.

And if you're not too strong, you can always learn along the way by studying the way other people write.

Anyone can do this really.

Besides, there are tools like Grammarly that make your life easy by correcting any errors that you may make.

Although, I won't deny that having good writing skills already may give you an unfair advantage, but if people who are bad at English can do it, then why can't you?

It's more of a mindset thing really.

4. You don't have to work with an agency.

The jobs you get as a copywriter are not limited to working with advertising or marketing agencies.

You can work as a freelancer for several clients as much as you can,

And this too is not limited to freelancing sites line Upwork and Fiverr.

There are other methods to getting clients. You just need to learn how.

5. Copywriting is very simple to learn and use.

Note the word "simple" not easy.

Meaning that there are laid down principles and techniques.

You just need to know what to do and how to do it and you're good to go.

6. You need Copywriting whether you're a product vendor, a skilled individual or a business owner.

Like I have said before, Copywriting is not only for copywriters.

If you sell anything, whether a product, a service or a skill as a service, you need sales to thrive,

Which means you need Copywriting to help boost your sales.

Besides, it's business owners that pay copywriters to write copy for them to boost their sales.

So if you're a business owner, and you want to save the money to be paid to copywriters to increase your sales, then learning Copywriting should be on the cards for you.

Make sense?

Good.

7. There is no limit to how much you can earn as a copywriter.

Once you learn how to acquire clients, there is no limit to how many clients you can get.

It's only a matter of how good you are and how confident you are in your abilities which will determine how much you charge.

Some copywriters charge $100, some $500, some $1000 (like Dolapo Hamzat), some $5000, some as high as $50,000 (like Stefan Georgi, Dan Kennedy, etc).

If you're really determined, in no time, you too will be earning big bucks too from copywriting.

With that said, I hope I have been to debunk all the objections you may have about Copywriting.

If there is anyone you feel I left out, feel free to shoot me a reply with your question or objection and I will take it up from there.

Till tomorrow, when we meet again.

To your digital success,

King Danisan™.
