Are you one of them {{contact.first_name}}?

,

I was on my way to the laboratory for a practical class with a coursemate of mine earlier today.

And while we were walking and conversing, the conversation drifted towards JAMB and admission issues.

At a point, I decided to ask her a question I have been curious about for a while now,

Because it had come up in my department's group chat recently.

And the question was whether she chose the course we are currently studying initially or whether she was given the course.

She then narrated some events that happened which led to her studying the course.

But the point that stood out was when she talked about a teacher of hers who advised her to pick the course.

The man in question studied this same course.

And so he took his time to explain to her the many benefits of studying the course...

And showed her the opportunities that would be available for her if she studied the course.

Basically, he "sold" the course to her.

After that, she did some research on her own and found out that he was right.

That was how she decided to go ahead and pick the course.

The rest as they say is history.

Coincidentally, this also happens to correlate with something I posted on my status earlier today (on my other WhatsApp line), which is that...

"Everyone sells something believe it or not. The only difference is that most people don't get paid for what they sell."

You may be thinking, "but I don't have a shop, and I don't sell anything. What do you mean?"

But as long as you're human, you probably sell one of these:

• Ideas,

• Beliefs,

• Mindsets,

• Political parties/candidates,

• Propaganda,

• Solutions to problems,

• Proposals,

• Relationships (this one is very rampant),

• Contracts,

• Deals,

• Hobbies,

• Personalities,

• Religion,

• And so on.

Many people sell these things unconsciously without you knowing it.

Sometimes they even sell these things aggressively

And truth be told, some of them do it effortlessly.

But then, only a few people get paid for what they sell.

The question here for you is this.

Are you one of those few people who get paid for what they sell?

Or better put,

Are you selling something that people are willing to pay you for?

Or are you wasting your energy selling irrelevant things that can't put money in your pocket?

Think about this and you will see where you have been getting it wrong.

Oh and one more thing.

Like I said in my story above, whenever anyone is trying to sell you on something or trying to sell something to you,

It's not enough for you to just ignore what they said or take it for granted, or even just believe them word for word just like that.

Take your time and do your own research.

You would be surprised at just how much information a simple Google search can give you.

Doing your own research will open your mind and help you see if what that person is trying to sell you on is legitimate or practical or possible and so on.

Do you get it now?

Good.

Now go and implement and come back and share your testimony.

I'm rooting for your success,

King Danisan™.
