You're being fed a big bowl of BS!

When I talk about some of the “little” results I have gotten so far in my personal journey…

Results like:

  • Processing over 2100+ transactions in over 3 years
  • Making consistent DAILY sales,
  • Writing copys that capture eyeballs and attention,
  • And so on…

Many people don’t usually realize the underground work that goes into producing those results.

See, the thing about success is that it’s very seductive and attractive.

And to the untrained eye, it seems like success is all about the glamour, happy vibes and having a lot of raving fans/people who admire you and want to learn the secret of your success.

But beneath all of that pomp and flare, lies the real thing that actually brings the results.

And you already know what it is, but just maybe, you need someone to drill it into your mind once more.

It’s called HARD WORK

Yes, HARD work, not “smart” work.

Look, don’t let anyone deceive you.

Working smart is good.

But before you get to the stage where you need to work smart, you need to put in a lot of hard work first.

Anyone who tells you that you can succeed just by working smart, and not working hard, is only feeding you a big bowl of BS.

Pardon my French, but that’s the God-honest truth.

I’ll give you an example — I’ll be illustrating a lot of the lessons in this 30-Day Business Lessons Series with my Smartphone Accessories business that I mentioned in my first email yesterday.

See, in my hostel, there are a total of 3 stories, plus the ground floor, making 4 floors.

Each floor has around 18 rooms, and all the rooms in the hostel are about 64 in total.

And here’s what I do.

Every night, around between 9pm and 11pm or later,

I pick up my bag containing the accessories I sell,

And I go into each room one by one, advertising and promoting these accessories to everyone in each of the rooms.

  • 1 hostel.
  • 4 floors.
  • 64 rooms.

Every.

Single.

Day.

I want you to just picture it for a moment, and realize the gravity of everything I just said.

I know a lot of people who had to go round the rooms to make an announcement, invite students for a program, or solicit for one support or the other.

And after just one or two times of doing it, they gave up and vowed never to do it again, because it was too stressful.

Not just because of the physical strain on your body resulting from the long hours of standing, talking, demonstrating, negotiating, and climbing up the stairs.

But also because of the various interesting "challenges" you’ll tend to face with Nigerian students in the hostel with all the time, energy and intention in the world to frustrate you.

  • Some people will pretend to be interested in what you’re selling and start asking you questions, only for you to realize they were whining you.

  • Some would ask you funny questions to score cheap “mock points” with their roommates (someone once asked me if I sold a d*ld*, or a vib*at*r — scratch that, I’ve been asked that kind of question a lot of times).

  • Some would just transfer their aggression from their bad day to you and refuse to allow you to even do what you came there to do.

  • Others may even slash your asking price by 50% or even more, all in the name of “it’s too expensive…I will buy it outside school for cheaper”

Among many other situations I can’t even remember right now.

Now imagine doing it everyday.

Sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it?

Yes, I know.

I’ve done it for the past 3 years.

But because I know that it’s the dirty work that brings in the results, I ignore all the “distractions” and focus on the reason why I’m doing it — the results I’m looking to get.

And that’s the first lesson I want to drill into your subconscious for Day 1 of this 30-Day Business Lessons Series

You want results?

Then don’t be afraid or shy to get your hands dirty and work hard.

Sure, it may not look pretty — it rarely ever does.

But if it brings you the kind of results you want, then I’d recommend you get down to business as quickly and as consistently as possible.

Success can be very seductive.

But if you let yourself get seduced without paying the required price, you may end up frustrated and resentful.

I hope you never let it get up to that point.

Did you learn anything today?
