Don't ask me how I know {{contact.first_name}}... Dhurrr!

Hello !
Happy Sunday.
Today is Father's day,
After about "52" women's day this year, I think it's nice to finally actually recognize men for all they good they do.
And before you start rolling your eyes,
Yes I/we know that women do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to taking care of the children and the home in general.
But (barring some 21st century mothers), when it comes to providing for the family, the chunk of the work is done by the fathers.
All men do is work, work and work, to provide money for the family,
While the women take the money provided by the man and use it to provide the needs of the family,
Which leads me to my random thought for today:
PS: If you're new to my list, every Sunday, I like to talk about random thoughts on my mind.
These thoughts may revolve around sales, marketing Copywriting, love, parenting, religion, life Hacks and anything at all in general.
But before I dive into today's random thought,
In my mail yesterday, I outlined 3 steps that you can use to paint pictures of your customers' ideal future (Future Pacing) so that you can get them to buy more of your products,
And I am going to quickly dissect them one after the other.
1. Create a customer avatar.
A customer avatar is simply a representation of who your ideal customer is.
NEWS FLASH: Not everybody is your ideal customer.
Many people think they can sell to everybody.
That's not true.
Everybody is not your customer.
Stop trying to sell to everybody.
Instead, identify your ideal customer by creating your customer avatar and then attract more and more of those kinds of people.
You will sell a whole lot more that way.
If you have just 100 prospects or leads that fit your customer avatar, you will sell more of your products than someone with 1000 random people on his/her contact list.
When crafting your customer avatar, you need to know the following information about your ideal customer.
- Age
- Gender (It may be one or both genders depending on the product you sell)
- Occupation
- Interests
- Desires
- Hopes and dreams
- Problems
- Awareness level
- Where they hang out
- Geographical location.
- You also want to give your avatar a name.
For example, if you sell slimming tea or weight loss products, let's give creating our customer avatar a crack shall we?
Let's go.
Your ideal customer should be a female.
Let's call her Chioma.
Chioma is a middle-aged woman probably between her late 20s and late 30s.
She is overweight, probably obese and loves food and eating a lot.
She may be a student or may be working at a school, firm, company or may be an entrepreneur/vendor.
Chioma's desire is to have a flat tummy, slim and sexy body with a hourglass or figure 8 shape.
Don't ask me how I know... Dhurrrr!
Chioma has probably tried one or more weight loss products to help her lose weight, but they didn't work and she has given up on losing weight.
She hopes she will find a man who will love her for who she is.
"Afterall, na fat I fat. I nor kill person."
She lives in a local neighborhood, and she likes to hang out on Instagram and Tiktok.
Phew!
Did you see what I just did there?
I just profiled our customer avatar.
And I did that off the top of my head.
Which means I may not be entirely correct about everything I wrote there.
You want to make sure you have accurate information about your ideal customer before creating a customer avatar.
So how then do you find out the correct information you need?
That brings us to the next step.
2. Conduct research.
The bedrock of every great and successful marketing campaign is proper and thorough research.
If you do your research right, at least 30% of your marketing campaign success is guaranteed.
So then, how do you conduct research?
It's simple.
Go to where your target audience hang out.
Join groups and forums on Platforms like Facebook groups, nairaland, Reddit and so on.
In such places, you will see your target audience pouring out their hearts unfiltered.
They reveal all their pains, dreams and desires because they believe they are in a safe space where other like minded people who understand them are.
And these are exactly what you need to paint the right kind of picture in the mind or your prospect.
So it's a great place to start.
There are other ways to carry out research, but I'll stop at that for now.
This mail is already getting long.
3. Start painting.
Once you have your customer avatar in place and you have done proper research,
You are ready to start painting the picture of the ideal future of your prospects and getting them to buy more of your products.
And you can properly paint the picture using the following tools.
i. Content
ii. Storytelling
iii. Graphic picture painting (Show, don't tell).
Time won't permit me to digress on them today.
But if you want me to do that tomorrow, shoot me a reply to this mail and I will think about it,
Or not.
Your choice.
Meanwhile, here's my random thought for today.
Remember what I said about men mostly doing the working and providing?
While women (mostly) simply take the money from the men and use them to provide the needs of the family.
What does that tell you?
You don't know?
Come on ! You can't be serious.
Okay, okay, I'll tell you.
Women wield more purchasing power than men.
Read that again.
Done?
Good.
- If you want to become a successful marketer,
- If you want to sell out more of your products,
- If you want to become an expert in sales,
Study the psychology behind the buying behavior of women.
I repeat.
If you want to sell like crazy,
Study the psychology behind the buying behavior of that gender that wears skirt.
Do this and you'll thank me for it later.
I can't go further than that today.
Till we meet again tomorrow.
To your digital success,
King Danisan™
PPS: Don't forget to shoot me a reply if you want me to talk more about the tools used to implement Future Pacing effectively.
Or not.
Na you sabi.
