Choose them carefully

It’s Sunday, so today I’m going to go with a business lesson that aligns with the theme of the day.

And here it is.

Learn to keep the peace.

Or as the Bible more astutely put it…

“Follow peace with all men…”

I know it doesn’t sound like business advice, but it will save you plenty of heartache.

There are a lot of customers and leads that will attempt to rattle you, rile you up or even reduce your steeze

And while it’s true that the customer might not always be right, I personally believe that it is in your best interest to settle the issues amicably.

And even more so, when you are exposed to the public’s eye.

Trust me, I’ve been in so many situations where if care wasn’t taken, the situation could have escalated and blown out of proportion.

But thank God for His wisdom to handle things peacefully.

One outburst alone can tarnish your brand’s image and ruin all the hard work you have been putting into crafting the perception people have of your brand — or most of it at least.

And at the end of the day, when all the cards are on the table, and you weigh all your options,

It’s seldom worth it to go all the way, just to stick it to a silly customer who barely has anything to lose, just because you want to “show them.”

At the end of the day, you’re the one running a business.

And I believe you’re here for the long haul.

So choose your battles carefully, and even at that, choose your weapons and tactics even more carefully.

I hope this made some sense to you.

Happy Sunday, .

See you tomorrow.
