What do you normally do when you get tired and frustrated.

You know there are some times in your life when everything just doesn't seem to be working.

It could be at work or in your skill or business.

You try one thing and it doesn't work.

Or you try doing the things you do normally, but you just can't seem to be able to do them well.

And then you become angry and frustrated.

What do you do in such cases?

What is your coping mechanism for going through those rough patches...

And coming out better, more motivated and ready to crush your goals?

How do you blow off steam?

I want you to reply to this message and tell me.

And I will tell you my approach in a moment.

But earlier today I was watching a workshop on YouTube by Jim Rohn...

And he made a statement that seemed kind of witty and funny,

But at the same time sounded so simple that one could even laugh it off and miss the message.

But it made so much sense and resonated with me, that I had to post it on my status immediately.

And here's what he said.

"If your "outgo" exceeds your income, then your upkeep becomes your downfall."

Wow.

Such a powerful statement that contains sage financial advice for anyone willing to use it.

P.S. Outgo is the literal opposite of Income.

Get it?

Good.

Here's what the statement means...

If what you are spending is more than what you are earning, then pretty soon you will become poor.

And is that true?

Of course.

Is that a curse?

Of course not.

A lot of people make this terrible mistake in their lives and sadly in their businesses.

They start a business (whether online or physical, it doesn't matter)...

And the business starts bringing in some income.

And instead of reinvesting some or all of the money back into the business,

They begin spending the money.

And they spend so much of it without taking account that they don't know when they spend more than the profit they made.

It is very common with affiliate marketers, forex traders and other folks that make money online.

The moment they start making little money online,

Instead of using some of that money to run more adverts and generate more leads,

Or to do whatever it is that helps them make the money...

  • That is when they will remember that they need new clothes and shoes.

  • That is when they will remember that their phone's camera is not clear enough and needs to be upgraded.

  • That is when they will remember that they want to go and party in the club with their friends.

And other things like that.

And before you know it, all the money they thought they had gets finished.

And all of a sudden, the money no longer seems to be coming in.

And they become frustrated and dejected.

All of this happens because of poor financial planning and lack of financial intelligence.

Now you may think that this is common knowledge or that everyone should know this.

But you would be surprised at how so many people "lose their home training" the moment they have some money on their hands.

One rule you want to incorporate into your finances is to pay yourself.

The same way you pay your tithe, your bills and other people,

Pay yourself too.

Save up some money and keep it as an emergency fund...

In case something happens that needs immediate financial attention.

But overall, no matter how much you spend from your business,

Make sure that you NEVER spend more than your income.

That is financial suicide.

Don't do it .

Don't commit suicide.

If you do that, then like that statement says...

"Your upkeep will be your downfall"...

And I know this because I have experienced it myself.

It's one thing to make money from a skill or business.

It's another thing to use that money to create generational wealth for yourself and your generation.

The choice is yours.

Meanwhile as for what I normally do to cope with stress and frustration...

It's funny actually.

Because I usually just completely isolate myself from whatever it is that is frustrating me.

And instead, I distract myself with other things like social media, movies and games for a while.

And sometimes it helps.

Because by the time I get back to whatever it was, I usually end up figuring it out.

So tell me, what do you do?

In the meantime, don't have a good day.

Have a great day.
