4 months gone down the drain

,

My school resumed today after roughly 4 months of holidays.

And while the holiday wasn't initially planned or expected to last that long,

It was an amazing opportunity for me to work on my skills and my business.

And also to do a lot of things that I wouldn't normally be able to do while school was in session.

Even at that, it still feels unreal to be resuming school activities today (I haven't resumed though, I'm not that serious).

Because was it not just yesterday that I wrote my last paper for the last semester?

The 4 months holiday that we were complaining that it was too much has finished just like that in the snap of a finger?

This life sha.

Anyway, throughout this holiday, I managed to do a couple things though...

  • I read a few books on business, marketing and spirituality
  • I got serious with my growth on Twitter
  • I doubled down on my TikTok video content creation (slowed down later though)
  • Honed my copywriting skill by practicing handwriting copy, copy dissection and writing sample copy
  • Started pitching clients (and getting a lot of NOs in the process 😭😭😭)
  • Made a handful of new online friends
  • Launched a couple of offers that failed
  • Started trying to write a mail to you everyday and failed (a couple of times too)
  • Continued with my ALX Salesforce Program
  • And a couple other things in between

And yes, it wasn't exactly all good for me, or easy for that matter.

But one mentality I have developed over the years is to keep doing things and not worry too much if I fail at them, as long as I learn from my mistakes.

And believe me, I have failed at a lot of things, both before and during this long ass holiday.

But I have also learned a whole lot in the process.

And if anything, it's an indication that my success is also going to be as explosive as my failures have been so far.

And I think it's a mindset you might want to consider adopting too.

Many people see failure as such a bad thing.

And it's not surprising, considering the stereotypical presentation and sometimes religious indoctrination of the word failure.

Contrary to popular opinion, failure isn't always a bad thing.

As a matter of fact, many of the world's greatest innovators, thinkers, businessmen and leaders all failed at some point in their lives.

Some of them fail all the time too.

But you don't hear about their failures unless they tell you themselves.

And that's because their successes always outweigh their failures.

And that's the lesson right there.

Remove your attention from trying so hard not to fail.

And instead focus on achieving your goals and making sure your successes are far more than your failures.

Because you will in fact fail at some point in certain things.

You can't escape it, heck no one can.

And you failing doesn't mean you are a failure in life, or that you are doomed to be a failure.

It just means that you have learnt one way not to do something, or one way you can't achieve something.

Do you get the logic now?

Don't get me wrong though.

Failure at times could be a signal for you to take a step back and take a look at what you are doing and see where you're getting it wrong and then reassess your options.

But it doesn't always mean you won't succeed.

And yeah, I know I haven't been consistent with my promise of writing to you every day.

But I'm willing to keep trying if you're willing to keep reading and gaining from the valuable marketing and life lessons I have to offer.

That said, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Till we meet again in my next mail.

To your marketing success,

Daniel Enisan.
