You're not a good person.

,
This evening, I was in my house's compound with my mum,
And we were talking about the coconut tree in our compound that has been there for as long as I can remember (well over 20 years).
In the past few years, the coconut tree hasn't produced as much fruit as it normally did in the past.
Growing beside the large coconut tree was a young coconut tree of just a few months old.
She told me about how someone helped her to plant the young coconut tree into the ground after she had planted it in a "nursery" initially.
And then she went ahead to show me another one she was currently nursing.
When she mentioned it, I was expecting to see a coconut with a part of it already sprouting.
But I was surprised to see a very dry coconut with half of it buried into the soil in a bucket.
And there was literally no sign of growth.
So I asked her why it hadn't started growing yet, and she responded with...
"Don't you know that it has to die first?..."
It got me thinking.
And then I remembered something I had heard somewhere that was so profound that it has stuck with me ever since.
It goes like this...
"The Earth (soil) has everything it needs to produce/cause/allow for growth. But the seed contains the instructions for what the earth should produce."
It's paraphrased, but it was something roughly around that point.
Essentially, it means that by its very intrinsic nature, the earth has all the necessary requirements to support plants to grow (nutrients, water, elements, et cetera).
But without the seed, the contents of the earth (soil) are practically useless.
The seed literally activates the growth supporting power of the earth.
So as I pondered over it, I began to think of how it relates to sales and marketing.
You see, the soil can be likened to the marketplace of your target audience.
Your audience might have all the requirements they need to succeed or solve their problem.
Such as talent, money, ability to learn skills, et cetera.
But many times, without a seed (your product or solution) to activate these qualities,
They might never be able to harness that power that is intrinsically present in them.
Does that make sense?
Sometimes, all people need to change their lives is to attend a training, or take a course, or book a consultation or even pay for a product that solves their problem.
And just like the seed, it activates their intrinsic ability to grow and flourish.
Now imagine.
- Imagine the product was never created?
- Imagine the product exists but was never sold to your audience.
- Imagine your audience is unable to reach their full potential.
All because of your negligence, ignorance or even worse laziness.
Personally, I feel it is a crime to have a solution to a problem and not offer it to people.
You're literally withholding the key to someone's breakthrough, the solution to someone's problem or even the missing key that can change someone's life forever.
Why would you want to do that ?
The only reason I can think of...
...is that you're not a good person.
Because if you're a good person, then you won't hoard information or products that can help people change their lives.
Just the same way I'm giving you information right now that I know will change your life.
Such as information about my Copywriting program that will help you change your sales and marketing game in 2025.
See?
I'm a good person.
But here's what I really want to achieve with this mail.
I want you to shift your perspective from thinking you're collecting people's hard earned money from them...
...to realize that you're actually providing solutions to people's problems.
In other words, you're helping them grow — while getting paid, not the other way around.
If that's the only thing you gain out of this email and your mindset shifts,
Then my work here is done.
Be a good person today and share that solution that will help somebody grow...
Do this by selling your products and offering your services.
And as for the Copywriting program I mentioned, keep your eyes peeled.
More information will be shared about it here soon enough.
Just know that unlike this 30-Day Email Crusade I'm currently doing,
It won't be free.
Other details will be revealed in due time.
But you can start saving up for it.
I hope you got a nugget or fifty two from this email.
That said, I'll see you tomorrow.
Yours "being a good person",
— KD™
