I gained 40 followers in 3 weeks.

,
Lately I have been putting in the reps and being active on Twitter.
And little by little I have begun to see some results.
In the past 2 to 3 weeks+,
I have grown my account organically from around 30 followers, to 70 followers now.
It might not be a big achievement to you.
But considering that I was only able to gather around 30 followers from the time I opened the account in September last year will June this year.
And now I have gained around 40 followers in just a few weeks of being intentional with growth on Twitter.
It's a pretty big flex if you ask me.
And it has only motivated me to want to keep going as hard as possible.
Which is why I have decided to do something today.
And I will tell you what that thing is in a moment.
But before that, I want so share some things I have learnt while growing on Twitter with you.
These lessons are the reason other top creators are doing well.
And if you do them well, you too can grow your account quickly.
1. You can't do it alone.
When I started out in September last year, I was just tweeting and tweeting.
Little did I know that I was tweeting into the void.
And yeah, I managed to get a few followers.
But most of those people were not following me for my contents.
Plus it took a long time before I was able to gather that little amount of followers.
Needless to say, it didn't take long for me to get frustrated and give up on growing on X.
Although school activities + the fact that my phone got stolen around November last year contributed to my stopping.
But since I started pushing again on Twitter,
I have started making connections with people who have been:
> Helping me
> Advising me
> Engaging my tweets
> And motivating me to keep going
And that is the reason why I have experienced rapid growth.
2. Listen to all advice, filter, test and figure out what works.
When I got back on X, I was on the lookout for help on how to grow quickly on X.
And if you're on money Twitter, there are tons of advice flying around.
And if you're not careful, you may end up doing the wrong things.
So here's what I do.
I listen to all the advice out there.
And I filter out the ones that probably won't work for me.
And then I test them to see what happens.
Sometimes you may not know what works until you just test it out.
After you test it out, if it works, you continue doing it.
And if it doesn't, you dust yourself up and keep going.
And that's exactly what I have been doing.
Everyone has a lot of advice for newbies.
But at the end of the day, we're all different.
What worked for Mr. A may not work for Mr. B.
That why you need to understand yourself, your goals and your priorities.
And then take advice that aligns with them and resonates with you.
Got it?
Good.
3. If you want to get better at something, do it more often.
I learnt this from one creator I respect a lot on Twitter.
And it's the most effective way to get better at anything.
> Do it
> Do it again
> Do it again
> Do it again
> Keep doing it
> Just do it again
> And keep doing it
And before you know it, you will realize that you are now much better at doing it than before you started doing it.
Which brings me to what I mentioned earlier that I have decided to do.
One of the things I dread the most is speaking in public.
I have lots of fears about doing it.
Like:
> What do I have to say to these people?
> Do they want to hear what I have to say?
> What if I say the wrong thing?
> What if they don't agree with what I have to say?
> What if they find out that I don't really know a lot?
And so many other fears like that.
But I have decided to do it regardless.
Yes.
I will be hosting my first Twitter Space tonight by 9:30pm.
And the topic for the space is quite the paradox.
It's "Dealing With Imposter Syndrome & Growing on X".
Funny right?
I'm literally talking about the same thing I am struggling with.
And I'm pretty sure you and a lot of people out there struggle with it as well.
Which is why I am inviting you to attend this space, to listen and contribute to the conversation.
The space will start by 9:30pm.
And I and some other speakers will be speaking and sharing our experiences in dealing with Imposter Syndrome.
Trust me, you will gain a lot of value for your time.
We won't waste a lot of time on the space.
But it will be packed and loaded with value.
So set a reminder for the space and show up.
I would really appreciate it if you showed up.
