You’re missing the point

If you’ve ever tried putting out content consistently, especially as a business owner,

I’m willing to bet that you have experienced seasons where you only get little or no engagements.

Heck, you’re probably going through that season right now.

And worst case scenario, that’s probably your normal.

And in these seasons, you find yourself asking questions.

Questions like:

“Why do I even bother?”

Or

“Am I not just speaking into the void?”

Or even

“Should I just give up on social media and focus on something else?”

Hey there, you’re not alone.

We’ve all been there at one point or the other in our lives.

But here’s the thing about showing up consistently, especially when it comes to content.

If your focus when putting out content online is on the engagements you get from them,

Then you’re missing the point of doing anything at all consistently, even if you aren’t seeing any results.

Being consistent at anything isn't just about doing it repeatedly.

Nor is it about the results you get from doing it, tangible or not.

It's MORE about who you become in the process of being consistent.

It's about how you become a better creator, a better storyteller, a better communicator, a better editor, a more skilled person at your craft, and a better person overall.

The biggest benefit of consistency isn't the number of days you kept a streak or the accolades you stacked up.

It's the fact that you have become a person who is capable of achieving those kinds of things.

That's the flex.

And at the end of the tunnel of consistency, you’ll find that you have grown so much as a person.

And that in itself, is its own reward.

So if you’ve been focused on the wrong things, this is your wake up call to return your focus to the things that matter.

And more importantly, to the things you actually have control over.

You might not have control over how many likes, comments and shares your posts get, or over how the algorithm decides to push your content.

But you certainly have control over how many times you show up online,

How many times you post in a week or month,

How much content you create,

And how much time and effort you put into creating great content.

I hope this helps.

To your business’ success,
