How intelligent are you?

,

There's no doubt that AI is one of the greatest pieces of technology to ever exist.

The great thing about it is that it's not just powerful.

But unlike many other powerful technologies that came before it, it's also easily accessible to the public — to a very large extent.

You can literally be lying on your bed right now and be able to access AI with your smartphone device and use it to perform complex tasks right from where you are.

That's how easily accessible this powerful tool is.

But it's because of this same ease of access that many people don't know what to do with it, and thus have ended up abusing it.

For one thing, many people have entirely lost all interest in doing any thinking or brainwork with their own brain.

The moment they need to write anything, or compose something or even think of a solution to anything,

They just run straight to Chat-GPT without a second thought.

And while depending on AI for certain tasks is not in itself bad,

I personally find the lack of effort on people's part very disturbing.

It's so bad that people are now turning in their work or tasks that were spat out of AI to their superiors as their own work.

And they don't even bother to try using their own words or even paraphrase what has been written for them by AI.

The result is that every Tom, Dick and with half a brain who reads it would easily be able to detect that it was written by AI.

It's disappointing to say the least

But then, what do you expect from lazy folks?

Second, many people don't actually know how to use AI.

They literally just ask it whatever comes to their head without bothering about the quality of their prompt.

It's no wonder that AI spits out mediocre stuff for them and they take it like that.

The truth is AI is only as intelligent as the quality of your prompts.

Which means if your prompts are mediocre and unspecific, then you will get mediocre output from AI.

So when using AI, you want to make sure that you prompt it using the right words, explaining exactly what you want in detail, with specific instructions where necessary.

Third, when it comes to writing messages with AI, specifically marketing messages,

One good practice you should adopt is asking AI to write on a particular topic using different angles (say 5 different angles).

Personally, when I do this, I'm just trying to get ideas which I can write on.

I don't necessarily copy and paste the output from AI.

I just pick an idea or angle that interests me and write on it using my own words.

And by the time I'm done, you wouldn't be able to tell where the idea came from.

Because I've made the idea my own.

Oh and one more thing.

If you're a beginner Marketer or Copywriter, I do not recommend using AI to craft marketing messages or copy at the beginning of your journey.

Because personally, I believe it will make you lazy.

- Lazy to study marketing that actually works.

- Lazy to brainstorm creative ideas by yourself.

- Lazy to create killer ideas from scratch.

And laziness is not going to help you when it comes to marketing and copywriting.

So I'd suggest you learn the basics of Copywriting and Marketing properly before you begin to use AI to improve your marketing and copywriting game.

Remember, the quality of the output you get from AI is a reflection of the quality of your prompt.

In other words, AI is only as intelligent as you are (because you choose the prompt).

I hope this made some sense to you.

Have a lovely night ahead.

Yours "using AI the right way",
