A Different Type Of Lead Magnet.

Today, I want to talk about another form of lead magnet.


This form is not so different from the one I explained in my previous mails, but the difference is in the method of execution.


And this method of execution is what makes it so potent and efficient.


In fact, if well done, you can get as high as 200+ leads in the space of a few hours.


And in a bit, I will explain this different form of lead Magnets.


But first, one of my subscribers replied to one of my last mails and asked me to explain how to conduct research to find out the problems of your leads in order to craft a befitting and relevant lead magnet for them.


So I'm just going to answer that question right away.


There are three main ways to find out those problems.


1. FROM THE MOST FREQUENT QUESTIONS YOU GET ASKED.


If you have been putting out content and have been positioning yourself as an authority, you would have been getting questions from your present audience.


Document those questions because most likely, those questions stem from the problems that your target audience are currently facing.


And a lead magnet addressing those problems will be very effective in attracting an audience identical to your target audience.



2. CARRY OUT SURVEYS


Another thing you can do is to carry out surveys using your present audience. It usually works better when you already have an audience base of your ideal customers whether small or large.


Again, you must have been putting out content and positioning yourself for a while such that your audience must have developed trust in you to an extent for this method to work well.


You can just create a simple Google form and ask them questions about the problems they are facing, how they are coping with them and the kind of solutions they are looking for.


This will give you a great insight into the problems of your target audience and you can craft a lead magnet with that knowledge.



3. SPY ON YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE.


Lastly, go to places where your target audience "congregate" and spy on them.


There, people speak their mind unfiltered because they feel safe among their "counterparts", so you can be sure you will find exactly what you are looking for, no-holds-barred.


Forums like Nairaland, Facebook groups, Reddit, etc are great places to find "congregations" of your target audience.

The different form of lead magnet I talked about earlier is very simple.


It works better if you are an Online coach or trainer.


Whenever you get invited to teach or speak in webinars, online classes or live events like WhatsApp trainings, Instagram live, Twitter spaces, etc,


Of course, you should know that you are supposed to overdeliver more than enough value in the class. That goes without saying.


And then after the class, you ask the attendees to connect with you.


But then, it doesn't just end there, because some people won't still connect with you no matter what you say.


What you do instead is to drop a valuable bait or lead magnet and ask them to click a link to get it.


You must have already crafted a lead magnet in place like an e-book, an audio course, a video course, a free report, etc.


Once they click on the link, it will lead them to your DM (make sure you put a link that leads them to your DM first).


And then when they come into your DM, you make sure they save your contact before you give them the lead magnet.
