Enough is enough
Jul 06, 2022 9:55 pm
Hey ,
I wasn't sure if I should still send out this mail today,
Especially considering that the time is 9 minutes before 10:00PM as I write this,
But then, I decided that I should still go ahead and send it out regardless.
Afterall, you know the saying:
"Better to arrive late than never" huh ?
I agree.
Anyway, I promise this mail is going to be very short (I hope).
Today, I just want to share with you something that happened to me yesterday in Bible study, that reinforced a particular belief of mine,
And I'll get to it in just a moment.
But first, I want to...
Just kidding.
I promised to keep this one short, and I'm going to make good on that promise.
So let's hear it shall we?
Yesterday in the Bible study session, a question was asked and the question was this:
"Does anger exist in every human being by default, or it is inherited?"
And as expected, before you know it, various people started sharing their own "hot takes".
Somewhere along the line, the discussion drifted to another controversial topic.
And among all the "takes" that were flying around, there were two statements that some people said that did not sit well with me at all.
And after lots of back and forth of people making their arguments (of course, not aggressively or incoherently),
I decided to speak my mind.
Me wey dey fear public speaking normally, I said I must talk my mind this time,
But then, just as I was rounding up my "speech", I said something that struck a nerve in one of the teachers, and he immediately debunked my statement.
Bummer!
Today that I say lemme talk, they na shun me 😢ðŸ˜..
See disgrace...
Why me?????
Lolz.
I actually learned from the man's constructive criticism...
Matter of fact, I even went to meet him after the service for him to explain more about how my statement was wrong.
But what I want to bring out from what he said in service yesterday, is what he said to that first question I mentioned above, and the summary is this.
There is always two sides to a coin.
Let me explain.
When you hear the word anger, especially in the Christian context, immediately you think it is bad or negative.
But then, as the man explained, anger is just something that God gave to us (just like pretty much every other thing He gave to/put in us).
Whether or not the anger is good or bad, depends on how you choose to use it.
For example, we have the destructive type of anger where some people get so furious that they hurt, harm or even kill other people.
Obviously, that is a bad usage of anger, which makes it bad in that case.
But then, on the flip side, there are some situations you will go through in life, that you will keep enduring,
Until you muster a sufficient amount of anger towards that situation and say "enough is enough .
For example, until you get angry at your situation of Poverty, or mediocrity or lack of sales or no sales,
You are probably going to be in that situation for a long time.
Here, you can see that anger can be good if put to good use.
Again, the point here is this.
There is always a flip side of the coin where you see things differently.
So in life, in marketing, in sales and whatever endeavor you engage in, always try to look at things from different perspectives.
Doing that helps you make better, more informed and well thought out decisions.
Also, if you're tired of your situation whatever it may be, all you need to do is get angry with that situation..
Get mad with it... Just enough to do whatever it takes to make sure you get rid of it.
I hope this makes sense to you, cos I've gotta run now.
Have a nice night's rest.
See you tomorrow,
To your digital success,
King Danisanâ„¢.
