NO ONE will do THIS for you.

You have probably heard it being said or implied before...

That people with skills who are very good at what they do don't need to blow their own trumpet.

And that if their work is really that good, then it would speak for itself.

And they would get more customers automatically, especially via word of mouth marketing.

Unfortunately, the statement is only half true.

Because good work does sell itself (to some extent at least).

But let's be real.

The best known brands out there aren't necessarily always the best at what they do.

But more often than not, they make the most money.

Why?

Because they command a larger audience of customers or consumers as the case may be.

And the same is true even for creatives in the arts, like music, theatre and the likes.

The truth is, the BEST KNOWN will ALWAYS outsell the BEST.

And if you don't blow your own trumpet, no one will, especially if you're just starting out.

So blow your trumpet.

Tell your story.

Show your work.

Tell people about what you do.

Let your presence be felt.

Trust me, sometimes people will tell you that you're doing too much.

And if you let it get into your head, you'll actually believe them and think you're doing too much.

Especially if you've been doing a lot.

But if you relent in your efforts, you'll be leaving a lot of money on the table.

And when you go broke, no one, and I mean NO ONE will take responsibility for you.

In the end, it's every man for himself.

This is one hard truth I believe every single person on earth will come to realize at some point in their lives.

So if you're good at what you do, talk about it.

Talk about it a lot.

Talk about it so much that when people think about you, the first thing that comes to mind is what you do or what you offer.

And what if you're not good at what you do?

Easy.

Get good.

And how do you do that?

By practicing everyday.

The more you do it, the better you get.

Especially if you focus sufficient attention on it.

Ever heard the saying "What You Focus On Expands"?

Now you have.

So focus on your skill, and your level of proficiency will expand.

Got it?

Good.

That's it from me today.

As always, I hope you got a nugget or two from today's mail.

And I hope to see you here tomorrow.

Oh and one more thing.

Happy New Month!

Fun fact: My birthday comes up this month.

Exciting right?

Yes I know.

And I'm looking forward to it too.

Anyhoo, talk later.

To your marketing success,

King Danisan.
