You better get ready to do this

One of the most paralysing things that can happen to you as a business owner…

…is always worrying about what people will say or think.

On a personal level, this is something that has paralysed me at different points in time and in different aspects of my life.

“What will people think if I’m juggling business and copywriting together?”

“What will people say if I put out this marketing message/copy?”

“What will people think if I start creating video content?”

“What if people label me a motivational speaker?”

“What if people don’t trust me to deliver quality products or customer service?”

“What if people don’t think I’m good enough?”

“What if I’m really not good enough?”

“What if I’m unable to meet up to the standard that people already have of me in their head?”

“What if something goes wrong or a deal goes bad, and all of my hard work gets flushed down the drain?”

“What if I get exposed as the fraud that I am?”

You name it, I probably thought of it.

These thoughts can be so paralysing that you will waste a lot of time, sleeping on a goldmine of ideas, opportunities and things you could be doing that would make your whole life a lot better.

But if you’re going to succeed in business, life, and virtually every endeavour you undertake in your life time,

Then you better get ready to ignore what people think or say about you, and do what you have to do.

Or better still, hear what they say, feel the fear, anxiety and pressure, and still do what you have to do anyway.

Because at the end of the day, and at the end of your life,

It won’t matter what people thought or said about you or your business.

What would matter are the things you were able to achieve, do or try out at least.

So get out of that rut of always worrying about what people will think or say.

You have a new business idea? Try it out.

You have a new passion? Experiment with it.

You have a new product? Test it in the market and see what happens.

You have a new project idea? Work on it and see where it goes.

You have a weird proposal? Pitch it and see whether they bite or not.

You never know what can happen the moment you decide to do stuff anyway, regardless of what everyone else around you thinks.

And regardless of what the outcome is, or could be.

Now go and conquer the world.

P.S. This is the penultimate email of this 30 Days Business Lessons Series

Which means my next email will be the last one of this series.

But hopefully, not the last time you hear from me over the next couple of weeks and months.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.

But in the meantime, if you have gained any sort of value over the course of these past 29 emails,

Please do me a favour and reply to this mail with a review or just tell me some of the things you have learned during this series.

I really appreciate feedback because it helps me learn, grow and improve. So do this for me, will you?

See you in the next one.
