You Are LOSING Money {{contact.first_name}}.

Hey ,


If you are a sales person, whether online or physically,


And whether you sell physical or digital products,


I bet you are LOSING a lot of money because of something you don't do.


And if you start doing this thing enough, and correctly,


Your Sales Will Literally EXPLODE.


And I will tell you about this thing in a few moments from now.


But first, if you read my last mail, then you would know that for the past few days, I have been struggling with malaria and having symptoms like catarrh, cough and cold.


Last night, I decided to go and buy some cough medicine to add to the medications I was already taking, because the cough had been disturbing me seriously for over two days now.


At the chemist's shop, I bought a bottle of cough syrup.


And as I was about to collect my change and leave, the chemist said:


"You fit need small antibiotic to wipe out the catarrh and cough completely."


I asked him how much it was, and he told me.


I left the shop without collecting my change in the end.


Because the chemist had (unknowingly) successfully used a marketing strategy on me, even though he was actually trying to help me.


Which beings me to the thing you don't do which makes you leave a lot of sales (money) on the table.


And what is that thing?


UPSELLING.


In marketing generally, people have to pass through your funnel to go from cold audience to leads, and then to customers.


After they become your customers and buy something from you, most people just let them go like that.


That's where you get it wrong.


For someone to buy something from you, it means:


  • The person trusts you (and/or your product) enough to buy from you or give you a trial.


  • That person is a buyer. And those are the kind of people you need for your business to grow and scale.


And here's the thing about buyers.


Buyers always buy what they want, as long as they are willing, and can afford it.


So if someone is willing to buy from you, and can afford to,


Why rob them of the opportunity to do so?


It's unfair to do so, especially since your product helps or benefits them.


You should allow (help) them buy as much as they want from you.


Here's what you should do.


Make sure you have a range of different products in your niche that you sell.


And it would be better if you sell products that are related and complement each other.


That way, when someone buys something from you, they can have the opportunity to buy other things too if they so wish.


For example;


  • If you sell akara, sell bread too (common example),


  • If you sell wristwatches, sell wrist bands, necklaces and so on,


  • If you sell wears like polo and jeans, sell sunglasses too,


  • If you sell smartphones, sell airpods too,


And so on.


Find products that are related to and complement the main product that you sell.


When people buy that product, encourage them to buy the other related products.


Do this, and you will effortlessly increase your sales figures without necessarily generating more leads.


And when you decide to generate more leads, and apply this same strategy, your sales will go up through the roof, and you will make more money.
