If not for anything…

I’ll probably set aside one day to talk about consistency and what it does for you as a business owner.

But today I just want to focus on just one of the many benefits it offers you.

You’ve probably heard of the “KLT Factor” in business.

In case you haven’t, KLT means:

Know

Like

Trust

These three factors combined are the factors that determine the likelihood or tendency of prospects turning into customers for your business.

Every prospect goes through something known as the ‘buyer’s journey’ before they buy from you.

And in that journey, they first of all KNOW you, and then overtime, after multiple contacts with them, they start to LIKE you, depending on how your interaction with them is, and eventually they come to a place where they TRUST you, enough to part with their money to buy from you.

So when it comes to building your brand/business and boosting your sales, all your tactics and strategies should be tailored towards building these three factors — the goal should be to get them to Know, Like and Trust your brand.

Now, what does all of these have to do with consistency?

There’s something about consistency and the effect it has on people.

I don’t exactly know why it works the way it does…

But when people observe that you are consistent, overtime, they begin to subconsciously perceive you as an expert.

It’s like, just by virtue of showing up everyday, they notice (Know) you, soon they begin to Like you, just for the effort you’re putting in, or other reasons…,

…and eventually, that likeness translates into a sense of Trust in your expertise and ability.

Because, even thinking about it logically, if a person talks about something a lot, then you just subconsciously assume they must be very knowledgeable about it.

That’s exactly what happens when you are consistent.

And when people begin to Like and Trust you like that, something interesting happens.

They may not necessarily buy what you’re selling, especially if they can’t afford it at the moment, or if they are not your target audience at all.

But they do something else that’s interesting.

They begin to recommend you to their friends and family.

Because, by virtue of you showing up everyday, you would have worked your way into being top of the list on their mind when it comes to your niche or that problem that you solve.

So whenever they find anyone who needs your product or service, they just recommend you without even thinking, because you’re at the top of their mind.

And this is the easiest way you can make sales.

Because the people they recommend you to are already pre-sold before they even come to you.

The passion, enthusiasm and trust the person who recommended you has in you would have rubbed off on them.

And all you would have to do mostly is to close the deal and make the sale.

I’ve seen this happen for me so many times in my business.

And it makes me happy whenever it happens, and encourages me to keep going and keep showing up everyday.

So that’s the lesson for you today.

If not for any other reason, be consistent because even if the people you’re showing up to daily don’t buy from you, they can get others to.

But you’ll never experience it, until you build that level of consistency.

I hope you got the message I was trying to pass across.

I’m rooting for you.
