Then you know the name that is on every marketer's lips right now.


You don't?


Okay, I'll tell you.


Alex Hormozi.


And here's a little backstory of the buzz around him recently.


Over the past few weeks, he had been promoting a love virtual event...


Which was a joint event with the launch of his most recent book - $100M Leads.


This book is a follow up to his first book - $100M Offers.


And the virtual event held on Saturday with just a little under 200,000 people in attendance.


Wow! 🤯


200,000 people listening to what one man had to say.


And during the event (although I joined late), I learned a lot from his presentation.


And maybe I will share some of the things I learnt from the presentation in the coming days (if you would like it).


But here's one MASSIVE lesson that stood out for me.


In the event, Alex talked about several of his products and demonstrated how it helped his business and other businesses make more money.


He showed lots of testimonials and further established his credibility and authority.


Lot of lessons in there already, but let's continue.


He valued the total worth of what he was giving to the audience at $12,076.


And then he anchored the price at $4999, and then at $2999.


If you're in the Direct Response marketing world, then you know this is a normal thing.


And after all the price anchoring and suspense and little "pause for effect" moment,


He revealed the price he was going to give the offer away for.


And the price he gave shocked...


EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. VIEWING.


Including me.


And what was the price?


FREE.


He was giving away $12,076 worth of trainings and courses for FREE.


Damn!


I was expecting the price to be at least $1997 or $997 at the least.


But he gave it all away for FREE.


Needless to say, after giving so much value upfront for free,


People have been rushing the book since the virtual event ended.


And that's the lesson I want to draw out.


There are a lot of selling and marketing tips, rules and hacks out there.


And they keep changing everyday as the market place evolves.


But some things never change.


And here's one of them.


Give value upfront, and your audience will be more than happy to pay you (for more value).


As humans, when someone gives you something over and over again,


As a natural consequence, you feel indebted to them and obliged to show appreciation.


So if you want your audience to be more comfortable with buying stuff from you,


Give them so much value for free, that they begin to wonder what is in your paid stuff.


It's as simple as that.


I wish I could explain more now.


But my battery is at 2% and I have to go right now.
