What She Said Gave Me Goosebumps! 😊

Sep 14, 2022 4:01 pm

Hey ,

This morning, I got a message from someone in my campus fellowship at school that made me smile internally (and maybe externally too).

Physically though, I haven't met this lady,

But when I saw her message, a feeling of warmth and intimacy came over me.

Frankly speaking, what she said gave me goosebumps.

And I felt this way all because of something she did in her message.

And this is not the first time she is sending me this kind of message.

And the first time she did, I felt exactly the same way because she did the exact same thing in that message.

And you may not realize it, but this simple Hack can help you:

  • Endear your prospects to yourself and get on more personal terms with them,
  • Make them like you more,
  • Get people to pay more attention to your messages, whether you are marketing/selling to them or not,
  • Make them more likely to grant your requests whenever you need their help for anything,
  • And many other benefits.

And in a few minutes, I will reveal this SIMPLE Hack to you.

But before I do that,

In yesterday's mail, I told you that instead of going back on your word when selling online, you should instead learn how to better use urgency and scarcity to make your audience buy your offers faster.

And today, I have decided to show you how you can do just that.

But first, what is Urgency, and what is Scarcity?

Do they mean the same thing?

Do they have the same use?

Of course not.

But there is a very thin line between urgency and scarcity.

Urgency is used to make them feel that they (your audience) need to take action quickly (by getting your offer) because they have limited time to do so.

For example, you can say:

"Limited offer",

"Once In A Lifetime Offer",

"Christmas Bumper Offer" (implying that it only lasts during Christmas),

"This offer lasts for only 48 hours",

"This offer disappears in 24 hours",

And so on.

Just be creative.

And make sure you stick to your deadlines.

Scarcity on the other hand is used to create the impression that something is scarce or limited in quantity or number.

For example,

"This offer is for only 50 online entrepreneurs",

"Only 5 slots are left out of 20 slots. Who are the lucky 5 people ?",

You could also use EXCLUSIVITY.

This is intended to make them feel like it is an exclusive offer, meant only for a SPECIAL group of people.

It is also intended to make people feel it is something prestigious... Or that they would be lucky to be among the few people who take the offer.

For example,

"This offer is only for iPhone users" (no disrespect to Android users especially because I use one),

"This offer is only for people who are making N100,000 and above monthly and want to scale up",

"This offer is not for people with a POOR mindset... I don't need such people. I want to work with people who are ready to spend money to get the results they want"...

And so on..

This will make even people who don't belong to the category you mentioned to want to take your offer,

Because they want to feel among.

You get?

Good.

Maybe someday, I will explain why this method work so well.

In the meantime, think of different ways you can start applying this to your offers or business and start making more sales...

Thank me later.

There is one other SECRET that can skyrocket the sales of your offers, especially if you sell digital products like e-books, courses (audio/video), reports and so on.

I have seen this SECRET work time and time again, and many people have made millions and billions of Naira using this strategy.

And if you want, I can show you this strategy.

You just have to let me know that you want it, or I'll just keep it to myself.

So if you want me to show you this SECRET, reply to this mail and let me know.

Meanwhile, about the message I told you that a lady in my campus fellowship sent me,

I can't remember the message she sent word for word,

But one thing stood out for me.

And it was the part that said...

"... Daniel, I love you and I'm praying for you".

Now, before you jump into conclusions, stop rolling your eyes at me !

The reason why I got butterflies in my belly was not (just) because:

  • She said she loved me (Christian brotherly love by the way),
  • Or because she said she was praying for me.

No!

The reason why I felt so warm and happy inside was because...

She personalized her message by mentioning my name,

Which made it seem as if she was talking to me directly.

For all I know, she could have composed the message, and send it individually to each recipient by inserting each recipient's name one after the other.

But it didn't matter, because when the message got to my inbox, it sounded as if she was talking to me directly, not to a group of people in a broadcast message.

Which is a mistake most people make when sending out bulk or broadcast messages, especially when you want to sell to them.

When you mention someone's name in a message, it makes the conversation feel more personal,

And it removes the first line of defense the person already has against hearing your message, because the person is no longer listening to you as a stranger.

S/He is now listening to you as a friend.

This is one of the beauties of email marketing.

Email Service Providers (ESPs) like the one I use to send you these mails make it easy for you to personalize your messages (mention their names) and get more personal with your audience.

So the next time you are sending out broadcast messages to:

  • Sell to people,
  • Ask people to help you repost, or watch a video, or repost,
  • Or to ask people to subscribe to something,

Endeavor to mention their names if possible.

Even during normal conversations,

Normalize mentioning people's names.

Yes it can be stressful, but the results are worth it, trust me.

One more thing,

Always replace words like "them", "they", "we", "us", etc in your marketing messages with "YOU".

The word "YOU" also helps to make them feel like you are talking to them individually, not a group of people.

Got it?

Good.

I hope you learnt a thing or two from this mail, cos that's all I've got for you today.

To your digital success,

King Danisanâ„¢.

P.S: Don't forget to reply to this mail to tell me if you want to know the SECRET to selling out more of your offers.

Or not.

Bye now.
