Hello!
It's been a little while. A lot has been going on for me over the last month!
First off, I went to Emerald City Comic Con last weekend, and it was a blast! I met several readers, which was a super cool experience. If any of you are on this newsletter, I want you to know that was the highlight of my weekend!
My booth was set up directly across from Aethon Publishing, and also right next to the author book signing area. Matt Dinniman, the author of Dungeon Crawler Carl, ended up signing books for about 3 hours a day for 3 days right in front of me. I decided to take advantage of the situation and made a sign:
When Matt was done signing, he saw my sign and laughed. I did have a couple people come over and check out my books because of it, so I call that a win!
There were so many amazing cosplays. In fact, someone dressed as Chuck Tingle walked by my booth, and I told him, "Nice Chuck Tingle cosplay." And then he went over to the book signing area and started signing books and it turns out it was actually Chuck Tingle and I died a little on the inside. I'm just telling myself he didn't hear me lol
All told, I sold 200 books this last weekend, which I'm very happy with! I'd love to go back again next year.
In other news, Friendly Fyre's audiobook, narrated by Sena Bryer, released this Tuesday! It's absolutely AMAZING and I am in love with the voice she did for Mirzayael. You can check out a sample of the audio below!
Also, because I'm a dork, I decided to eat some rocks in honor of the Dungeon Core and in promotion of the audiobook's release. So if you'd like to watch me being a moron, you can find that here!
The next con I will be attending is the Cosmic Con in Colorado Springs on April 25th. Also, I will be a panelist at the LitRPG Con in Denver this July! I hope to see some of you guys there.
Well, that's all I've got for you guys this month. I'm still sort of in a post-con haze, and my voice hasn't entirely recovered yet, but I've got this weekend to rest up, at least.
Chat with you again in April!
Best,
~Kia Leep
