In The Beauty of His Work

I love our name for communion here in Kenya.
The Lord's Table.
A table makes me think of the warmth of shared experiences.
I close my eyes and see the family gathered around.
This morning we celebrated our Lord and all He's done for us.
The family gathered around.
"For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord's death until he comes."
1 Cor. 11:26
As always it was beautiful.
**
I am overwhelmed.
It started as a small dream to expose the children in our neighborhood and beyond to as many good books as possible.
There just aren't enough words.
You were so kind.
God multiplied the efforts beyond what I could have imagined.
I say "Thank you."
"Thank you so much."
I think only God will ever know the full beauty of this harvest.
"Now may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you... because you have done this thing."
2 Sam. 2:6
**
We've left for a few days.
Tomorrow we drive to the land of the Rendille.
The Rendile are among the lesser reached tribes in Kenya.
It's justs a few years that they have the New Testament in their own language.
The northern counties of Kenya are experiencing the worst drought they've seen in over 40 years.
Marsabit, the home of the Rendille, is the hardest hit county of all.
One of the districts most devastated by the lack of rains is called Laisamis.
They haven't seen any rain since 2019.
That's where we're visiting tomorrow.
They've cried for relief.
Women, children and the elderly especially are suffering.
God's invited us to join in the beauty of His work.
I'm excited to see His glory revealed.
We're praying.
We'd love if you would join us.
“I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.
I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me."
John 17:22,23
