To our valued Early Adopters and industry friends,
When Notary.Online began this movement, we told you that we were bringing transparency, fairness, and equity to online notarization, and it’s in that spirit that we make this announcement.
Everything we have done so far has been to set up Notaries for success – to promote them being profitable – and to be fair to signers.
First, we built the marketplace to bring customers to Notaries, and we just introduced our largest features update for it. Then, we made RONU free to any subscriber to satisfy training and education requirements for all Notaries.
Next, we developed methodologies and automated technologies to satisfy Secretary of State requirements to validate Notaries to use and continue to use a RON platform. Just days ago, we released our combined social platform that will soon also operate as a Learning Management System open to all Notary.Online subscribers.
The final step was to organically develop and release a RON platform that surpasses anything available in the market. In that process, as one technology was stitched to another and legal review was done, we were faced with a critical bit of information, and as always, we to be fully transparent about that.
What Notaries, Secretaries of State, and the signing public use and regard as a RON platform is patented, and is the intellectual property of a single company, and as such we couldn’t – legally, ethically, nor morally – move forward building what would become an infringing RON platform.
So, we partnered with them!
At this point everyone wants to know what that means for our Early Adopters, what it means for our institutional customers, and what it will mean for everyone’s future and growth.
First, it means that when Notary.Online submits documentation to Secretaries of State, the National Association for Secretaries of State (NaSS), and industry groups, we will be in the advantageous position to declare that we are exclusively licensed to operate the only RON in the United States authorized to do so by the sole intellectual property owner of the technology.
It means that the technical depth behind all of the technology has quadrupled, which means better and more frequent product enhancements, and the ability to respond quickly and decisively to changes in law at the State and Federal level.
It means better support, and the peace of mind that our solution can be depended upon as you grow your business. And it means a greater emphasis on driving business to our marketplace, and to our institutional customers.
And importantly, it means that Notaries, using our platform, will be upholding their oath to follow the laws of the United States and the laws of their State, because Notaries will know they are using a solution that does not infringe on intellectual property rights.
