Program begins April 25, 2026 with two days of in-person training, followed by virtual sessions and graduation.

This cohort builds on service through Kennedy’s Angel Gowns, equipping doulas to provide compassionate, culturally relevant, and loss-aware care for families during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and bereavement.

Who this is for:

  • New doulas ready to launch with confidence
  • Church and community leaders supporting families
  • Nurses, social workers, and caregivers seeking loss-aware tools
  • Parents and advocates turning lived experience into impact

What makes this training different:

  • Trauma-informed and bereavement-focused care
  • Focused on Black maternal health equity and community impact
  • Hybrid format with in-person and live virtual sessions
  • Practical tools, real-world scenarios, and ongoing support

Why this matters:

Community-based doulas play an important role in helping address disparities in maternal and infant health, especially in underserved communities. This program is designed to equip and empower individuals to make a meaningful impact through compassionate, community-centered support.
