Happy Weekend
Can I ask you some sort of personal questions?
Are you having difficulty in making decisions?
Why is it difficult to make decisions?
Many people agonize over decisions. Having difficulty making decisions can be a sign of depression. It can also stem from anxiety.
But you know what , if only we are aware of the process of decision making, it would have never been a difficult task.
Remember, it is expected for everyone to make a well-considered decision, and take action based on that decision. Productivity in the workplace are optimized when ideal approach to decision making is upheld.
In this week's blog, I will wade you through to the 10 Simple Steps in Effective Decision Making.
Remember, our advocacy herein is to encourage the ideal approach to decision making.
✅ 1. Clarify the decision that needs to be made.
The first step in making a decision is the articulation of what exactly needs to be decided. It should also be made clear as to who or what will be impacted by the decision.
✅ 2. Decide who is responsible for the decision.
Be certain that before a decision is made, it is clear who is going to take responsibility for the decision. It is not always those making the decision who have to assume responsibility for it. The degree to which responsibility for a decision is shared can greatly influence how much risk the members of the organization are willing to take.
✅ 3. Listing all possible solutions or options.
A decision will be made from a selection of options. Options are actually potential solutions in themselves. Start by listing all the factors that need to be considered in making the decision. Anticipate the future requirements that may also affect the decision.
And the process goes along until a decision is made. To learn more about the complete steps in effective decision making, visit my blog 10 Simple Steps in Effective Decision Making.
