Yesterday I spoke to a virtual group of about 50 contractors on the topic of social media. I shared with them some best practices and frameworks around creating and posting video (you can grab the framework here for free), but they were also able to ask a ton of questions.

There was one topic in particular I wanted to share with you because I think its HUGE for home service providers (really any business owner) and I want you to have an easy system to get customers from it.

I'm talking about Facebook groups.

Implement these 3 things today:

1. Set time aside a few days a week or once a week to go into the groups and add to the conversation- if people are asking for your trade- send that question to people you know in the group to refer you. You can refer your company as well.

2. Search your trade in the group and add your name to the list- no matter how old the post is. It will get the post back on the newsfeed and if people are searching your trade in the future they might go back to these posts.

3. Share pertinent information as it arises. Example- share the benefits of getting your HVAC maintenance right now- don't include any call to action, just share with the hopes that you're able to help your community avoid issues this summer.
