Things to note about social media this week/end of year:

Ads will be more expensive- Advertisers are spending a TON of money on Black Friday ads which in turn, makes all the ad costs go up. Don't stress, but always note Q4 is the most expensive time of year.

Organic content will reach fewer people- More advertisers means less space for organic content. Again, don't stress. This happens every year. Instead, focus on creating content people are likely to engage with. Pictures of your team, volunteer work, awards won, celebrations and entertaining content will do the best.

Engagement will be down- people's schedules have shifted. The kids are out of school, family is in town, things are different. Again, don't stress. This happens throughout the year. Adjust the type of content you're putting out there and the times you're posting.

Moral of the story: Don't stress, this is all normal. Keep up the good work!

It's National Write A Business Plan Month!

A good business plan guides you through each stage of starting and managing your business. You use your business plan as a roadmap to structure, run, and grow your business. It's a way to think through each of the critical elements of your business.

Business plans can help you get funding or bring on new business partners. Investors want to feel confident they'll see a return on their investment. Your business plan is the tool you'll use to convince people that working with you — or investing in your company — is an intelligent choice. Instagram Reels can do the same thing!

Mon 29- Ok, let's write a business plan but with Reels! Writing a business plan may be easy for you if you have been in business for a while. Let's try to apply the same principles to create a reel. Create a summary of what you want the Reel to communicate and write out the steps. Define your message early on, make sure you give an overview of the message in the steps, then perform by hitting record! Need some additional assistance? No problem, reply back!

Tues 30- Today is National #StayAtHomeBecauseYoureWellDay This hashtag leads the mind to think of all the things we might get done if we just stayed home for no reason. What would you do with the extra time? Make a video about it!

Wed 1- National #ChristmasLightsDay The title itself is pretty self-explanatory, but the video ideas are endless. What does looking at Christmas lights mean for you and your family? Maybe you have been putting off decorating for Christmas. This hashtag is a perfect excuse to get on with the decorations and roll the camera!

Thurs 2: Do you have a dog? Today is #NationalMuttDay, so it's a great time to make a video with your mutt or rescue dog! If your dog is not a mutt, it's still a great time to introduce your furry friend. Pets are personal, so even though you are targeting social media for business marketing purposes, people love it when you add everyday stuff that gives them a behind-the-scenes look at your life. Pets and animals are an incredible engagement tool because they are so cute!

Fri 3- #MakeAGiftDay #RoofOverYourHeadDay Two peas in a pod? Or take one and leave the other? It's a great season to gift others and make a big deal about it on camera. If you have older kids living under your roof, this could make for a comedy-type video, the roof over their head being a gift. If you would love some help brainstorming, reply back!
