Here's a fun and easy way to connect with your audience and spoiler alert: it might just be your superpower!

This weekend I took it super easy. I hung out with the family, attended some local festivals, read a whole book (I'm an obsessive fiction reader) and started new seasons of 2 of my favorite Netflix Shows (Love is Blind and Manifest).

It got me thinking about you!

What newsworthy or pop culture thing are you engulfed in these days? Is it Taylor Swift holding down 10 of the Billboard Top 10 songs? Or Joe Mixon having a historic game for a running back yesterday (and my fantasy team!).

Whatever it is, it could be a great opportunity to relate to your audience and use it as content!

How did this thing inspire you or your work? How could these shows or wins relate to what your audience wants to win at?

Could you break down what they did in a way that could get your audience a win too?

Let's take Taylor Swift as an example. I personally think she's a marketing genius. One of the best things she does is build community, she's made her fans feel special since the beginning of her career. They have a name for themselves (Swifties) and this helps build her community even bigger because they feel included and a part of something. She also sneak-peeked her most recent album during the 3rd quarter of the Thursday night football game a few weeks ago. This was a huge win for Amazon Prime, which was a win for Taylor and got people even more excited about her album drop at midnight that night. AND, she uses Tik Tok in an incredible way. Multiple songs off her new album are trending on Tik Tok, giving more people a chance to get to know her music and growing her fan base.

How could you use this story as an entrepreneur?

1. Put your community first, no matter how small it is. Respond to comments, make them feel special, give them a name!
2. Build up your launches. Don't just throw something out there, build the suspense. You know how hard it is to be left on a cliffhanger at the end of a series, and you know you'll be watching the next one.
3. Use Tik Tok! What trends on Tik Tok trends in real life. There are endless examples of this.
