I know, I just wrote y'all a newsletter, but this one is worth you checking out, for 2 reasons.

1. My book is participating in the Summer Multi-Author Giveaway hosted by Kylie @ The Film Director's Wife! There's 2 huge bundles with over 30 participating indie authors, including well-known ones like Amanda Tero, Kellyn Roth, and Erika Mathews, and debut authors such as myself. ;P Head to @thefilmdirectorswife to see ALL the books participating and enter in the giveaway. It ends TODAY, June 20th, so hurry! (U.S. only, sorry!)

2. The lovely Rose @ Rewrites With a Faerie Pen is also hosting a giveaway! This one is for the Cornerstone series as a whole. There's 4 cookie mixes from Story Crumbs, inspired by the MCs of 4 different books (Madelena from A Noble Companion—espresso double chocolate toffee; Annette from A Noble Grace—black pepper walnut & raisin spice; Liesel from A Noble Purpose—coconut frosted stained glass; and Bee from A Noble Loyalty—gluten-free espresso toffee double chocolate). And finally, there's an ebook of A Noble Comfort! This giveaway ends TOMORROW, June 21st, so also hurry on over to sign up. Here's the link (scroll to the bottom).

That's the big things! But I'd also like to take this opportunity to explain a little more about the Clean Fairytale Summer. It appears all you have to do is join the Facebook group and earn prizes by reading fairytale retellings! According to the Reader Information doc that explains everything, "Clean fairytale lovers will earn points for reading fairytales, bonus points for reading books on the featured list, and more bonus points for sharing books in the group! Prizes will be books, gift cards, book swag, and more!" There are also fun games, freebies, and other participation activities as authors "take over" the group for a few hours each week. This event runs from June 1-July 31, and yes, my book is on the featured reading list, so you can get points for reading it. ;)

Finally, I'd like to share about an exciting Kickstarter project with you. If you've been on my Goodreads or reviews blog last year, you saw all the fangirling I did over the Secrets of Ormdale series by indie author Christina Baehr. If you'd like to read my reviews, here they are:

1. Wormwood Abbey.

2. Drake Hall.

3. Castle of the Winds.

4. City of Serpents.

5. Valley of Dragons.

But to sum up the series, it's five of the most deep, beautiful, vibrant books I've ever read. (My mother, who's basically a book snob and only reads very good books because she has so little reading time, not only BINGE-READ for like the first time ever, but reread the books that same year!) It's such a sweet, honest, comforting series, mixing the good things of life like cake, supportive family, beautiful nature, good books, and yes, dragons, and the difficult things like racism + anti-semitism, toxic/dysfunctional relationships, historical evils, and personal struggles. I can't praise or recommend them too highly. It was my favourite series of 2024, and I cannot wait to reread it.

And a special edition of the first book is currently being funded on Kickstarter! It's gonna be a gorgeous clothbound, with a map of the Yorkshire Dales, chapter decorations, foiled detailing, and bonus content. The campaign is already fully funded, and we're trying to reach stretch goals. So far we have a ribbon bookmark, signed copies, and deckled edges—and the next stretch goal is an illustrated title page. I have also seen that eventually a stretch goal will be dust jackets... yeah, I'm wildly excited. It's gonna be such a beautiful version of a beautiful book. There are several tiers, which are pretty affordable, and include some lovely swag. You can head here to see the kickstarter, read all about the book + how it came to be, and even sample the first 4 chapters!

All right, that's all the news I got. Hope this rainy June day is treating you well. :)
