☕ The Tuesday Tea - Rooibos to the Rescue!
Feb 09, 2022 1:13 am
Dear ,
Apparently, the newsletter I sent out yesterday did not go over well. I'm shocked because I didn't consider it controversial in any way, but I've got the message. Readers want to check out and relax and leave their worries behind. Today, I'm in the same boat! In fact, I think we could all use some rooibos ☕right about now.
Rooibos Tea for Rest and Relaxation
Rooibos (pronounced ROY-bose) tea reduces cortisol levels. Cortisol and stress go hand-in-hand, so drinking rooibos tea helps reduce stress and can help you sleep. Some tea experts recommend limiting yourself to one or two cups a day and mixing it into your tea routine instead of making it a habit. While there are benefits, there could be side effects when consumed heavily for long periods.
As always, check to make sure you don't have any health conditions or are taking any supplements or medications that can interact with an herbal tea.
Rooibos tea is kind of fascinating in that it's only produced in one area in the whole world, South Africa. The Cederberg region on the Western Cape of South Africa, to be exact. It also has an intriguing dark red color that goes perfect, in my opinion, with paranormal mysteries.
As unique as it is, the secret of rooibos has officially spilled. It's available from most major tea companies, from Celestial Seasonings and Twinings to Harney & Sons.
The next time you're feeling stressed, soothe your soul with a nice cup of rooibos tea and a good book...
