☕ The Tuesday Tea - Let Nature Carve Itself

Oct 18, 2022 12:46 pm

Dear ,

Have you ever run into a pumpkin that was nearly impossible to carve? We didn't grow any last year and bought them at a farmer's market instead. It was all fine and dandy until it was time to get a knife through them. In the end, we carved one together and painted the rest to glow in the dark.

I was on Facebook earlier today, and found an alternative suggestion I can't wait to try out!

Let Nature Carve Itself

Take a pumpkin and use a nail to puncture the surface in select places to mark the Jack O'Lantern's eyes, nose and mouth. Fill the holes with peanut butter, and put in the great outdoors. Squirrels, raccoons and other scavengers will (supposedly) do the rest of the work.

We're getting pumpkins this week and will post our results online with the hashtag #CarvedByNature. Feel free to join in on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
