☕ The Tuesday Tea - Stars, stripes, and spirits?

Dear ,
How was your Fourth of July? In one word, ours was "unique."
This year, our local government decided to cheap out and piggyback off a racetrack's display on July 2nd instead of having their own. 🤦 This resulted in 90 percent of our town feeling they had to host it themselves Sunday night.
Instead of packing into the stands like sardines, we stayed home and enjoyed brats, corn on the cob, and sweet tea while watching fireworks regardless of which window we were facing. Definitely one our family -- and our fire department -- will never forget.
Sweet tea is not something very common in our neck of the woods, so I had to research how to make it. It's very simple -- and tasty! It's something I'll save for special occasions though, because there's so much sugar added.
Sun tea is something else entirely, and I'm sure I'll be making it until the season is through. You simply take a gallon container, add filtered water and 8 bags of your favorite tea, and set it in the sun for six or more hours while it brews with the help of the heaven's rays. 🌞 Pour straight from the jar over ice and garnish with a lemon slice.

Until next time,
