Jan 18, 2026 11:37 pm
Hello,
As we look ahead to 2026, now is the perfect time to prepare for upcoming travel changes and exciting opportunities. A little planning now can save time, money, and stress later. Here are the most important travel updates you should know before booking your next adventure.
Important Travel Requirements for 2026
Please review these carefully—documentation issues are one of the top reasons travelers are delayed or denied boarding:
- REAL ID Requirement (U.S. Airports)
- Travelers without a REAL ID may face additional screening, delays, or charges at the airport. Make sure your ID is compliant before you travel.
- Cruise Travel Documents Must Match Your Passport
- Your cruise reservation name must exactly match your passport name. Even small differences can cause big problems at embarkation.
- Passport Validity Rule
- Many countries require your passport to be valid at least six months beyond your travel return date.
- Blank Passport Pages Are Required
- Some countries require one or more blank pages for entry stamps. Always check before you go.
- Visa & Entry Requirements Vary by Country
- Every country has its own rules. Always verify visa or entry requirements well in advance.
- United Kingdom – Online Visa Requirement
- The UK now requires travelers to apply online for an entry authorization prior to arrival.
- European Union – ETIAS Coming in Late 2026
- In the last quarter of 2026, the EU plans to launch ETIAS, its own electronic travel authorization system for visa-free travelers.
I am here to make sure you meet every requirement so your trip abroad goes smoothly.
Cruise Travel Updates You Should Know
- Cruise ships are already about 2/3 full for 2026.
- Planning early gives you the best pricing and preferred cabin locations.
- Special Offer Alert – Holland America Line
- For two days only (January 20–21), Holland America is offering $1 deposits on many itineraries.
- There are some truly exciting routes that may surprise you!
- Florida Cruise News
- Tampa may be getting a new cruise port in Manatee County. This location would allow larger ships to dock without passing under the Sunshine Skyway, opening the door to even more cruise options.
