Spring has sprung and the excitement of Summer awaits. Jeff and I just returned from a transatlantic voyage followed by a self guided land tour in Ireland. The flowers you see above are from the Keukenhof Gardens near Rotterdam. The gardens are only open 8 weeks a year in the Spring and we were fortunate enough to have visited. Breathtaking! Plan now to see them next year.

Europe is quite alive and well. Tourism and travel have rebounded quite nicely. All the cities we visited appear to be functioning at pre pandemic levels. So if you are interested in cruise or land travel, do let me know.

As for cruise ships - they are sailing at near capacity. If you are wanting to cruise in the future, it is important to start planning now. Your best fares are coming greater than 6 months out. Some very good fares are at 12 months out. It is important to plan well in advance because if you want the mid ship balcony not too high in the ship, so do so many others. If that is what you want, I highly suggest you start planning for 2024. Lots of people want that same type of cabin too. Yes, I can find you a cruise this Summer or Fall, but the price and the cabin location may not be what you like. So take a serious look at future cruises.

Many of you may have seen the ads and tv commericals for the Icon of the Seas coming soon. The ship has been sold out for so many sail dates, but I am able to get you this space. This is excellent pricing obtained by our cruise company. While you may see availability, the price is certainly higher. If you are interested in sailing in the inagural season on the Icon of the Seas, let me know. I can get this booked for a deposit of $250.

Other cruise news. Princess will be moving a ship to service out of Port Canaveral starting November, 2024. Holland America is focusing on voyages and experiences. Celebrity continues to focus on its shipboard vibe and modern luxury theme. There is a cruise line for every person.
